We stopped here on our first day to try the flight of beers – all four were very good and great value based on the pour.

We didn't have lunch but it was such a great spot that we came back for lunch on our last day.

Lunch was delicious – the split-pea with bacon soup, chicken asiago sandwich, the tourtiere and the lamb sausage were all super delicious.

The staff were great on both days and we really enjoyed the view!

The water views are great, we sat outside. Service was very friendly. Food was good quality, nice presentation but overpriced. The INN became busy and we got in without a reservation which was good. The patio has some negatives: cheap plastic chairs, and dumpy looking area off the backside of the kitchen. Overall: good food but if you are going to charge those prices at least invest in better patio furniture please.

Lovely restored building at the edge of the lake. A nice variety of real meals (not pub food). Beef and barley soup was robust but could have used more Barley and amped up the beef. Radiatore with pine nuts / artichokes and tomatoes was a bit too blended into the dill flavour. Pasta texture was good.
Pork mediallions had good flavour, tender but sauce was overseasoned. Fresh veg were terrific but too small a portion. Mussels were fine but not spectacular. Grouper was tasty and polenta cut the spiciness of the sauce. Coffee was terrible , tea was a cheap brand of floral chamomile that masqueraded as earl grey. The spoons were dirty and we were told they were "just stained". Sorry folks. My spoons don't stain and if they are, toss "em. Dessert -- well take a pass. Crepe was stone cold (fridge cold), centre tasted off cream chees and the blueberry was oddly jellied and too sweet. All in all an epic fail. First time I've called something that.

The location of the Lake on the Mountain Inn is amazing, looking down into the valley below and across to the fascinating lake. The service was very good, and they have a mirco brewery on site with some excellent beers. However the issue that I had was with the food...

We went on a Monday which is BBQ night, and ordered a dip trio and I had the pulled pork. The dip was a selection of three dips which came with Pita bread, crackers and a few veggies. The veggies were lacking and there were far too many crackers for a starter, for over $10 it was a poor offering.

Then the Pulled Pork came which was served with sweet potato fries, creamed corn and collared greens. My Pork was cold, the greens were tough and the creamed corn had corn entrails in it. Whilst they did take it back and produce it again hotter, it was still nothing special (which for the price it should have been).
