We were treated to lunch here and what a treat it was!! We were near Picton on a visit and who knew there was this little treasure of a place. There were six of us and we enjoyed a variety of choices including the chicken wraps, a pizza and the BBQ burger. We all thought our food was delicious. I had the burger with carmelized onions , bacon and cheese. Cooked to perfection. It came with an interesting slaw of kale, cabbage and apple. At first I thought the slaw was just OK, but the more I ate the better I liked it and there was nothing left in the end. French fries would have been my pick for a side but they were not on the menu. There is no kids menu so that would be a problem if there were small children in your party and no fries, the one thing most kids will eat. They purchase the majority of the ingredients locally, a idea that I like.
There was a great selection of ciders. I had the draft cider , the kids had the sweet cider and someone had a peach cider. All were good. I thought the draft cider went particularity well with the burger.
The prices were a little on the high side. $ 16.00 for the BBQ burger . But the view was good, the sun was shining and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food tasted so amazing that the price was some what over looked by us.
There is a small shop for tasting and buying the cider. Taste the apple ice wine . It free and good!!! I would recommend this place to friends and will go back again.
