We were looking forward to some pub grub and cold beer. After a day of wine tasting and gourmet lunch. We found this place without any advice, the decor was tired and beat up . A full makeover required. Beer was cold but one pint glass had a chip in the lip. The two tables pushed together left a precarious placement for your drinks. At the time we arrived one young lady was running the whole show. So service was slow. Two in our party ordered liver and onions but no mash potatoe available. The two dinners arrived together one was over cooked the other under cooked , bloody in the middle,it was sent back, the other forced it down. My wife and I had fish and chips, the two meals were mediocre and the fish tasteless. We ate it , drank our beer and waited for the returned liver to arrive. It did and was edible. But embarassing for our lady friend to eat alone, while we all watched. In there defence they did not charge us for that meal. But the damage was done. The young lady ,over worked was polite and apologetic. But we will not return. But we will return to the area for the fine wineries. We will find another place to eat.
