On holiday from Scotland our relatives took us to this wonderfully quaint Inn. We had an amazing stay, albeit it was only for 1 night. We had everything we could ask for, comfortable room/shower room/washroom, all facilities laid on ie air dryer, shampoo, soap, tissues etc. The manager, Steve made us so welcome and then in the morning made us the most amazing breakfast and then a history lesson on the inn ( at our request) which was very interesting (honest) I kept thinking that it was like staying in a giant 'dolls house'.

Practically the last room available in the County on a Friday evening - booked it over the phone. When we arrived, our directions to get in were great, the inn was historically beautiful and a very quiet location. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a great attached 3 pc. bathroom. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The common rooms were comfy and there was a complimentary bottle of wine, coffee, & snacks available. The innkeeper/chef, Steve, was very welcoming the next morning and his breakfast was absolutely wonderful! We love Prince Edward County and I am sure the next time we want to stay we will call in advance and book a couple of days at the Hayes.

Our stay in Prince Edward County was simply wonderful from the picturesque countryside to the wineries. Our visit was only enhanced by our stay at the Hayes Inn. Steve was most welcoming and oh what a chef! The breakfasts were nothing short of a foodies answer to great cooking. Steve, we will be returning and you had better be there. Room Tip: One room is as good as another.

Normally, the charm of a B&B is balanced against the privacy you lose staying in someone's place.
Hayes is a perfect balance. Very comfortable, wonderful breakfasts and the place to yourself with the other guests. Lots of space.

Wonderfully maintained and a great location.

Four of us stayed at the Hayes Inn in late August for a biking/eating/wining trip. This is the first time I've stayed at a B&B where the owners weren't actually in the house and I quite enjoyed it. Its a bit more like staying in a hotel yet has the charm and comfort of a B&B. The house itself is lovely and warm and the rooms we saw were spacious and well updated. The breakfasts were wonderful thanks to Steve.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice

This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a B&B, so we didn't know what to expect. We booked based on the positive reviews Hayes Inn received and now we are happy to add our own. The property was well maintained. The rooms were a good balance between county comfort, while having modern amenities, like a renovated bathroom with walk-in rain shower. Steve, the inn Manager, was a perfect host. He made us feel welcome without being overbearing, and had great advice about things to do in the county. We like to consider ourselves foodies and Steve is a talented chef. The breakfasts he created were decadent, using local ingredients, and were some of the best meals that we had on our trip. Yes,it is a bit far out, but most of the wineries and towns in Prince Edward County are spread out so you would have to drive anyway. We had a great getaway and plan to return, hopefully with family and friends!
