This is a great B&B especially if you plan to stay with 2 parties. The two rooms seperated by a hallway are beautifull and Patti and Mike are the best hosts. We usually like more privacy than in typical B&Bs but this B&B was perfect for us. Since the rooms were seperated from the main house there was enough privacy. The breakfasts were absolutely fabulous and the attention to detail from the beautiful napkin rings to reading material in the rooms was great. If we were to visit Picton again this would definitely be the place of choice to stay. I can't say enought great things about this B&B and it was truly a pleasure to have met Patti and Mike, they made us feel so at home.

Patti and Mike are wonderful people who make you feel right at home. The breakfasts were delicious and there was so much to eat we skipped lunch the two days we stayed there. Patti recommended things to do and even made dinner reservations for us, don't miss Blumen Gardens restaurant.
The house was spotless and they think of little things like a dish on your night table to put your jewellry in and qtips and face wipes in the bathroom.
The rooms are spacious and beatifully decorated and the backyard is a pleasant space to sit and relax after dinner.
Will definately go back again Linda Greenwood.

We are 4 female family members travelling together. We decided to spend a couple of days in Prince Edward County sampling the wine at the wineries, local cheeses and visiting the local Artisans.
This was our first time visiting this B&B and it was a real treat. Couldn't complain about a thing. We took both suites which are across from each other. Both were roomy enough with a sitting area and small bar fridge. Filtered water was provided in the fridge. The suite facing the street had the king bed with the full couch and was a bit larger room. The second suite had the queen bed with the love seat and faced the backyard. Even the second suite is larger than you will find at most B&Bs. Besides our suites we had the whole lower area to ourselves which had a little kitchen area and another 2-piece bathroom. Our breakfast was brought to us in this kitchen. The fruit, yogurt and granola was very tasty and so was the fritata and canadian bacon. We enjoyed the back patio overlooking the gardens and pool and found the whole experience very relaxing.
Our hosts were very helpful in offering information on the area and where to eat for dinner and where to shop, which wineries to visit etc.
We will definitely return here on our next visit to Picton.

Patti and Mike are excellent hosts, they really do make you feel at home. It helped having an affinity with Mike's Yorkshire roots.
We stayed in Room 2 which was anything but cramped as previously mentioned. It is more like a mini apartment with a large bed, sofa, breakfast bar/work area and fridge plus plenty of drawers and a large hanging closet. We accept that Room 1 is larger but we were more than happy with Room 2. The shower room was also well appointed.

The breakfasts were a delight, it is obvious that Patti has excellent culinary skills. Patti and Mike hit just the right balance of serving breakfast, being on hand if needed, yet leaving the guests to their own converation.

There is a kitchen area for guests' use including a washer and drier. Guests can also cook their own food either in the kitchen or on the BBQ and eat on the patio overlooking the attractive garden and pool.

Patti was extremely helpful in response to e-mails prior to our stay and very informative of practical activities for both wet and dry days (we had both).

Finally, Mike recommended the Accoustic Grill where we ate both evenings.
All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

We had a very nice stay at Traditions. We stayed in the larger of the two suites (#1) which overlooked the road. Although the view wasn't as nice as looking over the back garden and pool, the room more than made up for it. It was extremely spacious, clean, neat, and what I would call modern country in style. It was warm and relaxing in feel. We really liked the convenience of the small bar fridge in the room to chill our wine and the wine glasses/bar area that was provided. The lamps attached to the wall by the bed were great for reading. The bed was a bit hard for those used to a pillowtop but still very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean with a nice skylight inside, although only had a small stand up shower. Not a big deal, still worked well for us!

Mike and Patty were both so very nice and welcoming. For breakfast we had yogurt, fresh berries, and granola to start followed by sausages and a blueberry french toast dish. The breakfast was very nice. The separate small kitchen and dining area was also a nice touch and it overlooked the pool and garden area. We really enjoyed the back garden area and were so surprised by the variety of places to sit and relax. We spent some time in the gazebo area. The fence, trees, and bushes provided privacy from the neighbours such that it didn't feel like we were right in town. The central location was so convenient. Mike and Patty were very knowledgeable of places to go and things to do- and provided a great binder full of information. A key was provided to the separate breezeway entrance so you didn't have to feel badly or worry about waking up the family if you wanted to come back late in the evening. We have wanted to go back for our anniversary but unfortunately it seems to be booked up for every weekend in the summer. Book early if you want a weekend stay!

Room Tip: Both rooms are very nice and similar in style. The suite 2 is much smaller, slightly cramped but ch...

My husband and I stayed at Traditions in the fall while visiting family/touring around the county. I have stayed at other B and B's in the area, but none compare to this.
The breakfast was truly gourmet. Fresh fruit, homemade granola and yogurt to start, followed by a mushroom frittata that was to die for (Patti gave me a copy of the recipe before we left, and I have been impressing my family with it ever since).
Patti and Mike are exceptional hosts. They were warm and generous, while understanding of our privacy.
I have already booked a room for this February, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the county!

My boyfriend and I had only one night here and both wished we had booked 2 nights and a 3rd night on our return route home. What a wonderful place! Best spot we stayed in throught out our entire weeks vacation. The back yard is so charming. with the pool and gardens. It has the best set up for a B and B I have experienced: The guest rooms are seperate from the main house and are connected with a wonderful breeze-way. There is a summer kitchen for you to enjoy adding convience if you want to keep cold drinks or make sandwiches or BBQ something for yourselves. Our hosts were wonderful. Mike has an extremely delightful sense of humour and Patti is as friendly, welcoming and kind as can be (as well as a terrific cook: we heard she is part of a gourmet cooking group and it shows). Breadfast was fresh fruit with yoghart and granola along with an upside down pear pancake covered with fresh blue berries and bacon on the side. Wonderful juices and a fresh pot of Joe to go along with this delicious food.. The whole space was extremely clean, private and very invitingly decorated. Lots of sun and a wonderful view of the pool/backyard from our window. We will definately be returning for a longer stay in the near future. Can't wait!!
