Our stay at Brown’s Manor in Picton operated by Ross and Diane was picture perfect. Breakfasts were simply delicious with homemade jams and preserves, fresh eggs and fruit, bacon and peameal bacon. The cooking was delicious and very satisfying.

The host/owner Ross was everything you could ask for in a B&B host. He was very helpful and nice and suggested different travel routes to take and pointed out “can’t miss attractions” in the area. Ross also suggested the two finest restaurants in town (Currah’s and Portabella’s) for our dinners and even made reservations for us.

The building was simply breathtaking with its old world charm, cast iron radiators, hardwood floors, decor and beautiful porch. We stayed in The Ambassador Suite with its many windows and immense bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The room is very quiet we had a thunderstorm during our stay and you could hardly hear it. There are no squeaky floors or stairs anywhere. We were provided with a full sized fridge in the hall way on the 3rd floor to keep our many perishable treasures that we picked up on our day trips. A water cooler is located on the second floor to refill your travel bottles for day trips.

Brown’s Manor is located in a very quiet part of town, yet it is fairly central, a 5-10 minute walk will get you to the theatre or fine dining or simply to pick up a few items downtown. Parking is readily available in the driveway of the property.

Excellent stay! My wife and I stayed at Brown's June 6-8 2008. The room we booked (The Colonial) was huge, with a King bed and gigantic ensuite bathroom. A/C was provided by a window unit and was plenty adequate. The breakfasts were simple and tasty, highlighted by Diane's special loaves. Brown's is within steps/seconds to the Merrill Inn (for dinner) and downtown Picton. All in all a great stay with people that are passionate and welcoming about their B&B.

We were looking for cozy accommodation in Picton as part of a cycling weekend. Although we were hesitant about staying at a B&B at first, as soon as we arrived at Brown's Manor we knew we made the right decision.

The house is a beautiful Victorian-style mansion, solidly built and well-decorated; not a squeak to be heard. Our room on the top floor was entirely private and had all the modern conveniences - including a whirlpool bath! Unlike many of the B&Bs in Prince Edward County, Brown's Manor is centrally-located in Picton and a short walk from a range of restaurants and shops.

Diane and Ross were exceptional hosts, looked after our bikes, and generally made us feel very comfortable, and at home in their B&B. I would recommend Brown's Manor to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay in Picton, and anyone who appreciates a top-notch breakfast!
