I stayed at the Brown's Manor for a girl's weekend and absolutely fell in love with the place, the house and the town. The house itself is magnificent, so much history and details to admire. The rooms were very comfortable and you can't help but get lost in the atmosphere of the house. The location was perfect, a short walk to the water and town. Picton is a wonderful place to visit, a nice quiet town with so much character, you can't help but wonder what it would take for you to move there. Diane was our hostess for the girls weekend and was AMAZING! So wonderful, so nice, easy to talk to, so full of knowledge and stories about the house, and extremely accomodating. It was the perfect weekend and I recommend staying at Brown's Manor to anyone, for a girls weekend or a romantic couples retreat. I can't wait to go back with my hubby! :)

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, 3rd floor are especially nice!

My friends and I recently spent the weekend at Brown's Manor for a bachelorette party and we had an amazing time! Our hosts, Diane and Ross, were so accommodating and had all of our needs covered. (Even the ones we didn’t know we had!) The food was delicious and made up of local produce, the rooms were decorated to fit the historic house charm, but had all the amenities needed for a great stay and the wrap around veranda proved to be a big hit for morning coffee! During our stay we spent the Saturday afternoon on a wine tour of five local wineries. All of the vendors were so accommodating and it was very refreshing to see how the local businesses support one another. The town itself is gorgeous, especially in the fall, and has great little shops to check out during the day and some entertaining bars to hang out in during the evening, all in walking distance. One of the real perks of our stay was the fact that we rented out the whole B&B so even spending our down time just hanging out and chatting was so comfortable and relaxing. We didn't have to worry about other guests, and we were not confined to our rooms like in traditional hotels. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it for any type of girl’s weekend getaway!

Wonderful welcoming atmophere in a century house, beautifully restored and decorated. Terrific location a couple of blocks from main street restaurants, cafes and shopping. A short drive to wineries and beaches of Prince Edward County. What more could a group of girlfriends ask for - would definitely choose this Picton B and B again.

Room Tip: Some rooms are 2nd floor and some are 3rd floor - you choose.

From the moment we entered Brown's Manor until the moment we left we were welcome and treated wonderfully. The house is beautifully appointed and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Our rooms were comfortable and very clean. A carefully prepared breakfast was ready in the morning and thoughtfully served.
The house is within walking distance of shopping and good restaurants. Diane was an excellent hostess and very knowledgeable about everything Prince Edward County.
We had a wonderful weekend and can hardly wait for a return visit.

It was time for a ladies' weekend away, so we made our escape to Brown's Manor. We were warmly welcomed by Diane and made to feel at home right away. Our rooms were large and luxurious -- mine even had a jacuzzi. For the early risers there was coffee and banana bread to tide us over until a delicious breakfast at a more civilized hour (8:30 a.m.) Our hostess Diane directed us to the many shops, points of interest in and around Picton, and restaurants where we enjoyed delicious lunches and dinners. There was space in the on the main floor for us to spend our evening together enjoying each other's company, playing cards, or reading. We will be heading back next time we need an escape -- maybe during margarita weather when we could sit on the porch. Barb V.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely. I would go back, with my husband, and reserve the Ambassador Room -- lots of space, king sized bed, jacuzzi, room to sit and read or watch TV. A little peace of paradise on the top floor.
