We arrived feeling travel weary and were warmly welcomed by Judy. We took all three rooms so had the common room and decks and hottub to ourselves. Judy did everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds had heated mattresses, the breakfasts were very good and there were fresh baked muffins or cookies when we arrived back at the end of the day. If you like privacy this accommodation is ideal for two or more couples holidaying together so that you have the common areas to yourselves.
The location on the inlet but also on the edge of the quiet town of Ucluelet is superb. We had a very happy stay.

What a place! This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. They treat you like one of the family. Wonderful view of the decks and very close to the harbour. If Judy can handle all the boys in my family on a fishing trip, she is truely a saint. We have already booked again for next year. Enjoy the crab!

Since 2004 my father, two brothers, three cousins, and close friends have traveled from Vancouver to the west coast of Vancouver Island for a weekend of salmon and halibut fishing. Part of this tradition has been staying at Bostrom's B&B in Ucluelet.
From the time we arrive for our two night stay we are treated like family by Judy and Gary Bostrom. Overlooking Little Beach Bay from their terrace we dig into a huge bowl of fresh crab and take in the westerly view past the islands at the entrance to the Bay, knowing that Japan is the next land mass to the west!
Fishing with a group of 10 lets us take over the entire B & B for our stay. The rooms are comfortable, modern and quiet (except for the constant snoring). The common room has a billiard table, small kitchen, large fireplace, along with large TV, and internet hook-up. When the sun sets, nothing beats barbecuing a salmon and halibut that was caught earlier that day! Wrapping the day in the outdoor hot tub and reliving highlights of the fishing day put a fine end to a great day.
The next morning Judy had prepared a breakfast worth getting up for. Deep dish quiche, homemade corn bread, fresh fruit, juices and coffee. If we had eaten any more we would have needed a nap! And throughout breakfast Judy and Baxter, their family dog kept us entertained with stories and tricks (Judy told the stories, Baxter did the tricks).
We've stayed at Bostrom's for so many years now that Judy and Gary treat us all as members of their extended family. And that's what continues to keep our group coming back each year. Before we leave, we make sure next year's weekend is booked. Everything else falls into place when we know that we'll be staying at Bostrom's. It's not easy for 10 guys to agree on anything, even if we are family, but we all agree that a major reason we all look forward to our fishing trip each year is staying at Bostrom's.

This is a great place for R and R and feels like home. Judy and Gary are great hosts that make you feel like family. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the games room is a nice place to relax in the evening. One could not ask for a better location. The view is spectacular and the beach is great for tide pool exploring. The hot tub is also a nice touch to enjoy before bed. Judy makes wonderful breakfasts that will fill you up and keep you going for your adventures. Once you find this place you will not want to leave : )) Enjoy your stay!

This is my second time at Bostrom's, and I feel like family. Judy and Baxter greet us with a warm smile and a waging tail.
Eight of us invade her oasis every year and we will not even consider staying elsewhere. Breathtaking views off of the balcony accompany a 5 star breakfast.

From the initial time of booking to departure , Judy was helpful and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We looked forward to her delightful and healthful breakfasts each morning. The view from our room with eagles and visitng deer added to the West Coast Experience. We highly recommend Bostrom's B and B !!!!!

Wow for location, wow for amenities, wow for friendliness.
I am so glad we chose to stay here. The house is straight on the bay and we had a fantastic view of the sea and islands from our bed. Unfortunately the sun didn't shine too much during our stay but the clouds and, at times, fog couldn't dampen our spirits and added atmosphere to the view. Judy and Gary were very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area, where to walk, what was available to do and the types of restaurants available both locally and a little further afield. They seem to have thought of everything that their guests might need, there is a pool table, darts, dvds, books, computer with internet access, coffee maker, fridge, microwave and we loved the hot tub also with a view. There are robes and slippers in the room, neoprene shoes, in all sizes, should you want to be out on the rocks, umbrellas and full sets of wet weather gear including sou'westers if necessary.
Breakfast was great, something different each of our three mornings there and plenty of it. We enjoyed the company of fellow guests and often it was difficult to leave the table (in a very nice way) as we laughed at each others stories and listened to travel experiences.
In the late afternoon we usually took a drink down to the lower deck and relaxed watching the small boats and wildlife. On a couple of occasions we were joined by a deer and apparently bear sometimes visit the area so keep an eye out!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bostrom's and will treasure our memories of the place. If we ever have the opportunity to return to the area we wouldn't hestitate to stay here again. If you are visiting Ucluelet make a reservation, I'm sure you won't regret it.
