So if you're heading to Ucleulet, BC do yourself a favor and stay at Bostroms B&B! Superb view, superb breakfasts, superb company and conversations! Judy and Gary are extremely knowledgable of the area, nature, restaurants, tours, etc. We had a few great sunny days and a few very rainy days, but Judy was able to give us suggestions no matter the weather. The hiking in late sept is amazing! We didn't get to see whales or eagles but the bear population at Thornton creek was amazing! We LOVED the hot tub on a rainy 47 degree day, cooled off in the rain, then off to the fabulous sauna! A 5 star rating is well deserved!!*****

It's easy to see why almost all the reviews here put this place in the top category: from the moment we walked in to the Trail Suite with Judy showing us around, I knew we were in for a treat.

First, Judy was a wonderful host who was the perfect blend of friendly/sociable and offering us our privacy.

She went out of her way to give us an early breakfast at short notice so we wouldn't go hungry our last morning before taking to the road (both of us have restricted diets and Judy cheerfully made us beautiful breakfasts with such a limited scope of ingredients). Then there were all the details that made us feel really pampered (including being served breakfast in our rooms, and having pretty much anything we might think to want available for our use).

This was the perfect place to rejuvenate ourselves and really feel like we had a special holiday. We will definitely be back!

I had more fun than a kid with a chemistry set mixing up my little kitchen experiments for your breakfasts. Hope to see you up in this neck of the woods again.

Judy & Gary were fantastic hosts, from the moment we arrived to when we left we were made to feel totally at home, our room had the most wonderful view, the breakfasts Judy prepared not only tasted lovely but they were beautifully presented. We would certainly recommend staying there, we'd most definitely return.

Room Tip: All rooms have a fantastic view over looking the sea.

I hope you have plenty of memories of the bear, the view, and the wonderful conversation around the breakfast table to last until the next time you are in this neck of the woods. We look forward to your return.

I try to come Ucluelet/Tofino area about once or twice a year- and for the past number of years, Bostrom's has been my go-to for a nice little comfy spot. Stayed in the Trail Room this time (I remember when this was not built yet!) and yeah, do it. Nice room, right by the hot tub, amazing bed, amazing shower and a small kitchen area. Also pet friendly so we brought the pups with us this time.

Food is amazing as always, and Judy is excellent about taking into account allergies and sensitivities, so don't worry if you have them, she'll work around it.

Don't wait, book now, stay here! You will not regret it. We were lucky enough to have one of the amazing thunderstorms the last night we stayed, and it is was a good one - HUGE thunder and torrential rain - there is NOTHING like waking up in a comfy warm bed and listening to the rain and seeing the entire horizon light up with lightening.

Room Tip: All the rooms are comfy and great to stay in. Trail Room is the biggest of the three.

Had lovely 3 night stay in this beautiful setting. Accomodation is to a very high standard and Judy had thought of everything you could possibly need, for example wet weather gear, binoculars, free use of computer and even microwaveable popcorn should one need a snack!. There was lots of room and enjoyed exchanging stories with guests and Judy. It was a delight to hear her wildlife stories. The breakfasts were a work of art and delicious. The decks were fabulous for viewing but it was great for sitting and eating a take away meal & a glass of wine watching the sun go down. We missed it unfortunately (we were on a black bear watching trip) but another guest staying was lucky to see a wolf pass by early morning and later in the day a black bear roaming the shore. Baxter was an added extra delight and kept us company at breakfast -but definately did love his momma the best...

When I ask Baxter, the dog, "Who do you love?" he responds "Mama" in a base voice much too deep for a little dog. However, he will only do this if I have either cheese or bacon in my hands. I fear what he really loves is food....sigh.

We had a wonderful time in Ucluelet and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Our hosts were incredible and their place is absolutely beautiful. Yummy breakfasts, wonderful hospitality, great stories & tips, cozy sauna, and breathtaking scenery will have us returning to this place for sure!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wild Room, but would love to stay in the Suite next time.

I just loved the pictures you took in the common room and on the ocean deck. Much better than mine. I'll have to get my camera out again I see.

We splurged for our little mini vacation and stayed in the Trail Suite, and were very impressed by the facility, service, and food. The bed was comfortable (better than home!), the bathroom was beautiful with the rock wall in the shower, and heated floors were wonderful (and expensive to put in, I'm sure). The decor was tasteful, and the view from the deck was awesome. The staircase they built down to multiple decks and all the way down to the ocean was impressive,

As for Breakfast, Judy even made a special breakfast for our 15 month old daughter, with perfectly ripened fruit cut and arranged to make smiley a face, fruit cutouts in the shape of dolphins, etc.

Judy bends over backwards to keep guests happy. From what I understand, she takes guests' suggestions very seriously, and is the reason for the nice extras like: the fire pit, sauna, filtered water, laptop with internet access, and even Bostrom's-branded rain gear. They are always maintaining/upgrading their home; they recoated their front deck during our stay.

This place is over the top compared what we're used to when travelling, but I guess we shouldn't complain. With all they have to offer, we certainly weren't able to use all their services and extras that they offered, so that's the reasoning for the Value being rated only "Very Good" in our ratings. (Is that a back-handed compliment?)

Room Tip: The Trail Suite is at the far end of the house, so noise is not an issue at all. When our daughter c...

The Trail suite is my favourite room and you're right, it is so wonderfully quiet. To try to bring the other rooms up to the same standard we have put 2 lb. lead in between the walls, have sound insulation, and a special sound proof gyproc on the walls. But ah! The Trail suite is special!
I hope you come again so you can have time to enjoy all our ammenities.
