Owner description: The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

This shortish walk is quite do-able for most folks as it is well way-marked, good surfaces throughout and never did you feel 'out on your own' as enough fellow walkers to be comfortable.
Plenty of rest stops along the way, and viewing areas for the photo ops.
A lovely way to spend a few hours just strolling here and taking in the atmosphere of this forest area, yet not far from civilisation really.

The trail was excellent, wide flat path with lots of discrete seating with clear views, plus we were able to watch a humpback whale as we walked.

I have walked this trail on almost every visit to Ucluelet and love it. So much spectacular scenery and views that keep your camera clicking. Don't miss out on this trail if you love hiking in the outdoors.

Lovely circular walk that takes in some amazing costal scenary. 2.6km that is up and down most of the way. Can take a few hours depending on how many times you stop to admire the view or take photos. Lots of benches along the way for rests. Watch out for bald eagles they are awesome.

I have hiked this trail so many times I can't count anymore. If you hike you must hike this small and short trail...and don't cheat...do the entire walk.
