The Pacific Rim area in the west of Vancouver Island is a piece of nature not to be missed: its rain forests, its wide - and now & then wild - beaches, wildlife... So you have to make your choice between Tofino & Ucluelet if you are to stay overnight. We chose smaller Ucluelet and ended on Ucluelet Campground.
We had a site with views on the marina, where a seal regularly was playing and feeding between the boats. Services were fully available, and accomodations - although a little bit outdated - can be found in the centre of the campground. WiFi is not available throughout the entire camping, so you need to go next to the office to read your mail.
If you go to the area, surely consider Ucluelet Campground to be one of your destinations. You won't regret it, and if you have questions about what-to-do's, just ask the staff: they will gladly help to make your stay as good as possible.
