“Arrived for a night and stayed for 4!”
Reviewed July 18, 2011

We were given a very friendly welcome, shown around the property, given helpful information as to where to eat and places of interest to visit. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and spacious. A nice touch was the inclusion of a pair of 'binks' (binoculars) in each room. The maintainance on the whole property was so good it looked brand new. Our room did not have a sea view but for that reason we paid less. There was a lounge/ dining room with a sea view that we were welcome to use at any time.
The location was perfect for us. Very peaceful. There were some lovely walks around the coast from which we spotted several whales. We could easily walk into the town for a meal in the evening.
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. All fresh and homemade.
We arrived with the intention of staying for one night but loved it so much we stayed for four.

We stayed for 3 nights in" A Snug Harbour Inn " for our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived there was a warm and friendly welcome, as we step in you got a sense that all the small detail were not forgotten the guest house was decorated to a high standard your feet sunk in the thick carpet and that was only the start the view was amazing from the lounge area to the room and to top it off the decking with a hot tub, we had a lovely time looking out at the view with a nice glass of red and the warm water relaxing us. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great the only thing i could say was you couldn't choose what you had but what was on offer was home cooked and very delicious. And the home make cake was very good possible having one to many slices .

This was one of the BEST B & B's I have ever had the privilege of staying in....the large, large room with the super clean whirlpool tub large enough for 2 adults and the fireplace IN THE ROOM was very romantic.....windows galore with skylights and all immaculately clean....a big plus for me.....the "main house" with its grand view of the Pacific and the path down to the tidal area where we saw starfish, anemones, eagles, kelp....on and on BUT the best was Sue's homemade desserts awaiting you from a day's hike on the Pacific Rim Trail and her wonderfully presented and prepared breakfasts each morning...always a fruit smoothie, eggs with ham or salmon, french toast....homemade jams....I just can't say enough about our visit with Sue and Drew and their wonderful german shepherd Porsche...the entire Ucluelet area is beautiful and Sue and Drew even have large binoculars on a stand that is often focused on the eagles in the distance and there is always beautiful soothing music floating through the dining area....so peaceful and tranquil.....thank you Sue and Drew for this truly wonderful B & B.....I highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.....

Room Tip: Our room was the pet friendly room and although we love our pets, we did not take them and the room...

This is the BEST accommodation we have had and we have travelled overseas as well as in the U.S. and Canada. Sue and Drew do their very best to accommodate your every need - even to the extent of giving us an earlier breakfast so we could make our trip back to the U.S. on time. The views from this Inn are simply spectacular - it is THE BEST!

Room Tip: The Sawadee room had a SUPER VIEW, but the other rooms have excellent views also; the cottage rooms...

My wife and I decided to stay at Snug Harbor for 4 days last week! Best decision we made in years! The owners Sue and Drew are fantastic host. The breakfast are always great, the rooms are fantastic, the beds are real dream land and the location, the view and the ambiance is awesome! We recommand the Snug Harbor to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay to enjoy the pacific rim park area!

We loved it here! We were here in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. If we had it to do again, we would plan fewer daytime activities, simply so we could spend more time enjoying our room and the magnificent views from the Inn. We stayed in the Lighthouse Room, which overlooked the Pacific from the deck as well as the bed. We loved going down the stairs and climbing around on the rocks to see the urchins and seastars in the tidepools. There were many bald eagles, and sea otters playing in the cove. There are large binoculars in the Great Room if you want a closer look. The Inn is indeed located in a residential neighborhood (as one reviewer noted), but once you have entered, you would never know it. It has a feeling of privacy that makes it feel like the wilderness, while having the advantage of being near town and its amenities. There are also trails nearby for hiking or running, which we enjoyed. As for the breakfasts, we found them delicious and filling but not overwhelming (as I have found in some other B& B's) and loved the smoothies for an unusual twist on fresh fruit. We also took full advantage of the delicious homemade cakes available throughout the day. It was nice to have our own refrigerator space to store the tasty locally produced beers and wine that we purchased during our visit. Our room was very clean and freshly painted, and the bed was so comfortable it has me shopping for a new one. Sue was a very welcoming host, taking the time not only to familiarize us with the Inn, but also to fill us in on the local restaurants and attractions-good advice all around. We liked the fact that Sue and Drew communicated with us beforehand, sending us friendly emails and the scenic driving directions to the Inn. They seemed to be genuinely glad we were coming. We stayed three places during our visit to B.C., and we are glad Snug Harbour was last, or the others would have all seemed lacking!

what better way to relax than reading on the deck and watching otters play in the cove below. Sue's breakfasts were wonderful! We enjoyed this place and highly recommend it.
