The He-Tin-Kis Lodge
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed August 7, 2010

After a long day of surfing in Tofino, it was heavenly to come back to our room at He-Tin-Kis Lodge and indulge in the divine comfort and amenities it had to offer. Especially the jacuzzi.
The room was modern and elegant and the combination of the soothing sounds of the waves from the beach below and the luxurious bed, I got a very rejuvenating sleep.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the He-Tin-Kis Lodge, after hearing so many great things about it. Upon our arrival, we were immediately taken by the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding area. The lodge itself exceeded our expectations with it's welcoming feel and the beautiful, elegantly furnished suites. We loved the unique craftmanship of the lodge and the way the suite was bathed in natural light. We both loved the feeling of total privacy. The views of the ocean from every window was spectacular. We both had the best sleep we can remember during our wonderful stay. Whether it was the deliciously comfy bed, the peaceful feeling or the lulling sound of the ocean, I cannot be sure. But one thing is for certain- we can't wait to return for another visit!

A group of 11 of us (guys) arrived at the this wonderful lodge and were stunned with the the beauty of this magnificent lodge. We were greeted by the owners Tanya, Scott and their children. They were extremely accomadating to our needs and extend their peice of paradise to us. We unpacked and ventured out on the property, we walked down to the private beach and found the beautiful firepit that we would later spend most of our time. the views from the rooms were absolutly stunning. This together with the beautifully designed rooms, bathrooms with soaker tubs and surroundings we could not have asked for anything more. We came across deer and racoons on our visit which added to the feeling of getting away . Overall, we all highly recommend this beautiful lodge and we will definitly be returning to this lodge individually and possibly as group in the near future. The pictures on the interenet do no justice this lodge is truly a masterpeice.

Thanks again Stewart family.

Just returned for our second visit to the Pacific Rim on the West Coast of Vancouver Island Canada. The Pacific Shoreline is amazingly beautiful and the rainforest is a wonder to wander! I even tried surfing this time...tried it...failed! When we first visited there back in early 90's we camped in Tofino which is literally just up the road from Uclulet, and as nice as it was, the Pacific Coast can be cool and damp for much of the day, so when we made our plans to return we chose to stay in one of the many locally owned and operated accommodations. After much research we decided on the He-Tin-Kis Lodge, and they truely did not disappoint! The lodge itself is a beauty to behold, the rooms were immaculate and stylishly decorated, but not so much that I worried about our kids. Our room had is own private Patio that looked over the, I believe, He-Tin-Kis Bay, which would make sense as that is after all the name of the lodge! Hot Coffee made available to our room, endless supply and good too, on the patio over looking the bay in the early am, watching an eagle fly on by....oh my I am rambling now, sorry! I must thank the Lodge owners for providing us with one of most memorable holidays to date, and will be coming back!

just arrived home after spending the last four days at the He-Tin-Kis Lodge and we are already missing sitting on the balcony of our room with a glass of wine overlooking the stunning harbour. The kids loved going down to the beach through the grounds and would spend hours exploring the cove. The room was stunning and the jacuzzi tub washed away all of my work stress. We are now planning on coming back for next summer if for no other reason for the fishing with the kids again. Our host arranged everything for the fishing trip and it was amazing!
Planning a multiple family trip next time why keep it to ourselves!

I would highly recommend The He-Tin-Kis Lodge to anyone! If you are with your children or with your spouse/partner it is absolutely beautiful! My boyfriend and myself had a wonderful stay, the rooms are tastefully decorated, the bedding was very comfortable and stylish! The huge soaker tub was a hit, a very romantic setting and the perfect place to maybe "pop the question!" I plan on going back soon very soon and enjoying yet another stay at this beautiful and charming Lodge. Thank-you Tanya for such a wonderful stay you are a hostess!

The He-Tin-Kis Lodge is one of the most beautiful spots and favorite places I've ever stayed time and time again, the view of the sunset over the ocean is amazing, the suites are gorgeous and finished in a spa-like decor. It's so private and secluded tucked away in the rain forest I highly recommend it for any time of year. Tanya and Scott are warm and welcoming hosts and I can't wait till the next time I get the pleasure of staying with them.
