My fiancee and I had an excellent time, being able to paddle 6-8 hours a day as our guide catered to our abilities and took us to very cool places. He also gave us tips& tricks crash course to improve our techniques. As safety was very important, we approached all wild life with caution and yet were able to experience whales swimming by and take loads of great pictures. The food was great, and the booking experience was quick and easy.
Would recommend to friends and family!

This is an awesome adventure for the day. The water taxi took us out beyond the main harbor to the smaller sheltered islands. Along the way we saw sea lions and eagles and heard tales of local yore. The kayaks were waiting for us and after a short safety lesson we were on our way off the beach. We had a chance to paddle around islands with midden beaches made-up with shells and through small tidal channels with seals bobbing up in front and behind our pod of kayaks. It was a wonderful bright sunny day that allowed us to gaze down through clear waters and see starfish, sea urchins and rockfish. This day long trip includes a yummy lunch prepared by the tour guides. They brought along way more food and drinks than us hungry paddlers could eat and then temped us with deserts. I could not tell you if the cookies were as good as they looked because we were busy playing with the Dungeness crab and other sea life in the tide pools. The best part of this trip was that you never have to back track the way you came as the water taxi picked us up at the last island of the day. Along the way back to Ucluelet we had time to stop and watch the whales play and feed as our water taxi driver wanted to see the whales too. By far a good value for a day’s worth of sightseeing with adventures too.

The kayak tour of the Deer Group Islands off the coast of Ucluelet on Vancouver Island is a fabulous way to explore this remote coastline. Expect lots of paddling,(6 hours a day), cave exploration, humpback whales, eagles, sea anenomes, seals, oyster catchers, sea lions, mink and deer. Unlike the Broken Group what you won't see is other kayakers. We saw only 2 on our 4 day trip. Jason and Jeremy were superb guides and great cooks.Captain Gary transported our crew and kayaks out to our drop-off spot and treated us to some up close whale-watching on the way.
The scenery is breathtaking and there is a new vista around every bay.

If you are a beginning or intermediate kayaker with some stamina, this is for you. The motored trip over to the Broken Islands is nice but fast, and then you can kayak in calm, clear waters for the rest of the day. Majestic provides excellent instruction and guides.
