We stopped at Offhsore for lunch today after a whale-watching expedition, looking for someplace to have a good meal and get warm! Both needs were met here.
Starting with a coffee and a tea, my partner ordered a 1/2 Spinach Salad, whcih was fresh and had an excellent house-made dressing. We shared a Crab Wrap, made with fresh Dungenness crab, and their Offshore Club Sandwich. The Crab Wrap was excellent, with the sweetness of the crab shining through, complemented by a light lime-based mayo. The sandwich was made with fresh lettuce, bacon, tomato and halibut on artisan bread, very good but the sauce/mayonaise was a little overpowering and hid the delicate flavour of the fish. Both dishes were accompanied by a bowl of excellent seafood chowder, again with fresh crab in the mix.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and at $39 we thought it was very good value given the quality of the food. Service was excellent and very friendly.
This establishment is on the edge of town across from the COOP Gas Station and is well worth a visit.
