“A Must See (and Touch!)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2010

This little aquarium is very neat because it features local creatures that were brought in in the spring and will be put back in the fall. There are "Touch Tanks" where you can touch Sea Cucumbers, Starfish, and tons of other really cool sea creatures! It also has lots of other neat tanks with different crabs, fish, and even an octopus! If you are in Ucluelet, you must go here!

“Hidden gem is a must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2009

This is a "hands-on" interactive mini-aquarium that allows visitors a snap shot of how much life is supported in the ocean. The self guided tour was worth much more than the $5 admission fee and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

“A very nice surprise!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2008

First off, I just looked at their website for the first time. Kind of funny considering the place! It's actually just a small shack almost right down on the harbor and the inside isn't that much more actually. But, once you get past that, it's a really cool place! A fair amount of different sea creatures to check out and a couple touch tanks. Honestly, what was the coolest part of it was the two "kids" working it. They were both VERY knowledgeable and would get really excited about answering various questions! It's right down on the harbor so make sure you stop by!

We took our 8 and 12 year old here. It was cheap $5 per adult and the best learning experience we all had. There are touch tanks for sea creatures and the staff were great at teaching us how they all interact.
I highly recommend this for anyone.

“Ucuelet aquarium”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2008

This wonderful attraction, beside the bay provides a natural aquarium, where the tanks are filled with sea water brought in from the bay next door. All the sea animals are returned to their natural habitat on a cyclicular basis. This really is a hands on environment where the staff are well informed, and have time for each visitor.

At present they are building a new place, which has been funded locally.

The admission is reasonable.
