loved this marvellous little aquarium and learning more about the westcoast sea life. Really appreciated the commitment to returning sea creatures to their natural environment at the end of the tourist season.

Nice, small, with local flair. Kids will like it; a bit pricey and limited for an adult couple. It's a single floor, perhaps 3000 square feet. What you see from outside the doorway is what's inside, so if it looks limited, then go have an ice cream. Otherwise, go inside and pet the anemones and watch a demonstration and see the swimming mussels and jumping clams and six-foot octopus.

This aquarium displays specimens from the area and they are constantly released. It is super eco and hands-on. A small place but we spent over 1hr there. We were able to see how an octopus ate a crab. What an experience!

Catch and release is the process of acquiring the live exhibits in this aquarium. Everything being shown is from a short distance around Ucluelet. Caught in the Spring and released later in the Fall. I had no idea of the amazing things that live just off of our coast. The staff were VERY informative, allowing us to learn so much in a short time. Did you know that there is a fish that gives birth to live young and they come out tail first?? Neither did I! Great place - so glad we went. Yes, a bit pricey, but if it helps this place stay in business and grow, it's worth it.

One might bypass this little gem of an aquarium. It was amazing to see the variety of wildlife obtained within a 2 km radius. It's small in size but we spent over an hour watching the sea creatures move around - and we didn't have children with us! The staff was very helpful and were excited about answering our quesions. We wished we had visited the aquarium earlier in our trip as we may have noticed more creatures in the small tide pools. Not only is this a change of pace from the other activities, but it's very interesting.
