“Cosy cabins in Ucluelet”
Reviewed August 11, 2010

Cosy cabins with two great bedrooms and a pull out. Kitchen to cook your own dinner and a barbeque on the deck. We booked a beachside cabin. This had nothing to do with the beach, instead we had a parkinglot in the front of our cabin. It is better to ask voor a beachfront cabin.! The people at the Cabins don't like cleaning that much so there is a little bit of dust everywhere but ...ok.

This was just fantastic. Came over from the UK to spend time with relatives in the Island and headed up here for a few days.

Simply mind-blowing, the Cabins were the perfect base to chill and get to spend quality time with my sister and cousin. Well equipped (BBQ on the terrace on top of a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for the location and vibe of the place) and in a gorgeous spot with excellent walks to the beach and lighthouse.

The owner was really welcoming and helpful when needed.

Would absolutely recommend both Uclulet and the Cabins this to any people I know heading to Vancouver Island in the future.

Simply one of the most memorable places I've ever been!!

(stayed in early June for 3 nights and had perfect weather)

The Cabins at Terrace Beach is a group of well appointed vacation homes scattered about a small cove and grove of trees beside the Pacific. The Cabins are literally at the western end of that long road that stretches across Canada. In May 2010, we were once again privileged to have a five day stay there. Built with varying designs, they provide accommodation for different sized groups. Our choice on this occasion was Ocean Pearl (Beach side Cabin #3), a two level cabin (with bedroom and hot tub on the upper floor) that provides an ideal place to get away from it all, with spectacular views of beach and cove and the sound of the surf in the background. The full kitchen makes the unit self contained and would allow one to hold up there as long as one might like. For those wishing to eat out, the town of Ucluelet and the neighbouring town of Tofino provide many fine restaurant options. We were particularly taken with the Offshore Seafood Restaurant in Ucluelet (small size means reservations are recommended) and Sobo in Tofino. Whether fair or stormy weather, the delights of the beaches of Pacific Rim National Park are only a few kilometres away.
We were extremely happy with our stay in this beautiful spot. Staff were both friendly and extremely helpful both during our stay as well as after. Having realized half way home that I had left my camera in our cabin, one phone call was all that was required to ensure its quick return to my home address. For anyone who wants  a home by the sea during their vacation, the Cabins may well be a perfect choice. It certainly was for us.

We just came back from a weekend getaway at The Cabins (2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 dog). We had been here 4 years ago and everything was as we remembered it. The booking process was very easy and Jade was very accommodating to deal with (we had to change dates after booking). Overall, we love the ambiance of the resort - nice wood cabins tucked under tall trees with a gorgeous view of Terrace Beach and the inlet. We'd call it up-scale rustic. Proximity to great hiking on the West Pacific Trail is great too. The units are comfortably furnished and the kitchen area was perfect for our stay - enough plates/cutler/pots/pans, etc. and large enough space for fridge/stove,etc. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had great sleeps. It was wonderful to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves on the pebbles. The flat screen tv's were good for our teenaged son. There is so much to do in the nearby area and we feel The Cabins serves as a great home base for exploring this neck of the woods.

We were delighted with our spacious, clean , nicely decorated and well-appointed cottage on the doorstep of the Wild Pacific Trail. Lots of welcoming touches and little extras, even for pets who are provided with a doggy bowl, bone and towel .

We booked a room for $99 a night and two of our friends decided to join us. I called in because we were running a little late and because of my honesty of saying that there were two more people, he automatically charged us $40/person/night. So a $99 room turned into be almost double the price at $179 + hotel taxes. I've stayed in so many hotels over the years around the world and never have I ever been charged $40 more per person per night. Who does this guy think he is??

This is off season (and everywhere is empty) and he tells us that the credit card has already been charged and that every hotel in Tofino/Ucluelet is full.

The BBQ was out of gas, luckily our neighbour let us use theirs for the first night. When we reported it empty the next day, the owner tells us if we want gas, we need to bring the tank to the front. Ok, so I'm paying double for the room and need to carry the tank on a 10 min walk to the front? No thanks.

It's a shame because there are so many great places in Ucluelet and Tofino. We still made the best of our time there but I can't listen to TripAdvisor's rating of this place being #2 to stay in.

Beautiful cabin. HUGE and great value for what you pay for. We had 3 floors, 2 bed. 2 bath. A balcony with bbq, and a quick walk to the beach ( a minute or 2). We entered our cabin the first night to find dog biscuits and a dog dish on the table, and a note welcoming us and our dog to The Cabins. A really nice touch by the staff who are friendly - owner (Ron) is on-site and very welcoming as well.
We had everything we needed and more including clean towels and extra duvet/pillows, all dishes including wine glasses, bbq utensils, sharp knives... kettle, microwave, toaster, pots/pans... they have thought of it all. Perfect romantic getaway in a little paradise. Will be back for sure.
