“Pictures deceiving.”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

This property is situated in an amazing area of Ucluelet. The view from our cabin is stunning. The cabin itself is adequate, cozy but after seeing the pics online, I had expected it to be in better shape. Price is good. Cabins are very weather beaten and could stand some updating, there is a worn, tired feeling about these cabins, although if you came with a group of people looking for an affordable, no worry kind of place it would be perfect. I get the feeling that lots of good times have been had by surfers, canoers, outdoorsy people. Not a place for anyone with mobility issues. No one to help with carrying bags from parking to cabin via a boardwalk with stairs. No housekeeping which can be a plus or minus.

We just got back from spending four nights at beach side cabin 7. The cabin was wonderful. It was extremely clean and we loved all the natural sunlight that we got inside . We really appreciated the extras: Dog cookie, dog towels and sheet, poop bags, ice cubes in freezer, coffee, tea, sugar, dishwasher tablets, soap, paper towels, lots of towels and extra pillows, bath salts, candles, ipod stereo. They really did think of everything. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals.

We loved having a washer and dryer in the cabin and used it daily. The four of us had no problem finding space to put all our clothes away and there were plenty of hooks to hang jackets etc. We found the beds and pillows to be really comfortable. While this cabin does not have an ocean view, that didn't matter at all. You can hear the crashing waves from Terrace Beach as you sit on the balcony. It is only a 1 minute walk to Terrace Beach.

It was so quiet there and we really appreciated that we were given privacy and just had to call if we needed anything. It can be difficult to find a nice place that accepts pets, so we were so glad that The Cabins accepts them. We all had a fantastic time at The Cabins. We would recommend The cabins to anyone. Can't wait to stay here again.

I loved having a three-level cabin all to ourselves where we could walk down to the beach in a few minutes. Everything we needed was there, including an iPod speaker system - well, there wasn't a colander for draining spaghetti. The cabin was clean. We could've used more hooks and places to hang towels and stuff. There might be spiders and mosquitoes, but it is a cabin in the west coast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A cozy cabin in the woods with a perfect ocean view. Do you need more for the perfect storm watching romantic get-away? But you do get more! Perfect trails right out your door, a comfy bed and deep bathtub. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. It includes a large video monitor (that doubles as a TV) showing a web cam of various locations such as the Amphritite Lighthouse, a little over 1 km walk from the cabin. Free wifi, Ipod docking station and a covered deck were also appreciated. Our cabin not only accepted dogs for a very small fee, but there was a dog dish, dog treats, poop bags, dog towels and coverings for the couch provided. The check in was very pleasant and professional and Ron gave us great dining and trail advice.

Room Tip: There are several cabins and rooms in a lodge to choose from. Each have a name. Our cabin was call...

Stayed @ Beach Side Cabin # 8. Expected to see some ocean view from the deck but it is just forest which was a let down. Not sure why they would lead you on with that title.

The cabin was rustic and charming, the kitchen was decently equipped. The fact that the closets didn't have the doors on them was rather surprising, you could see that they had been removed and never replaced which was rather odd.

The double jetted soaker tub was very nice and relaxing and after a long day of exploring the area, was just what we needed. The photos on the website are truly reflective of what the cabin looks like so that was at least a positive. The bed was comfy and bedding was warm and cozy.

It's really a nice cabin but without that water view, just rather lessens the experience.

It was ok but I am doubful we would return as there are many other options in the Tofino/ Ukee area to choose from.

This is a review of our stay in the Lodge. So for the price it was ok, but still pricey for what we got. Upon arriving in our room we found a condom wrapper on the floor by the bed, we would have liked the room to have been properly cleaned before we arrived. The room itself is nice but the walls are quite thin and you could hear almost everything else going on in the lodge from your room, especially those above us. The bathroom was nice but the tap for the bathtub kept randomly dripping water. The internet was also a problem, worked half the time and not the other half. We ended up on several occasions having to go into the common area just to get some sort of connection.
All in all, if we were in the area again we might stay here if the price was right but would definitely look elsewhere first.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor so you don't have to hear anyone above you.
