There are quite a few motels in Haines Junction and I'd guess that Cozy Corner is among the better ones. Yes the sheets and comforter were from the 80s and there's been very little work done on the place since about that time, but surprisingly the place was clean and pretty comfy and we had a large flat screen satellite TV in our room (I'm guessing at least 32 inches). The shower was great and the water was hot. I'd stay here again - the price was only $80/night.

This is a small, old fashioned motel. At first glance, it looks a bit rundown. It could use new paint and a few flower boxes would go a long way toward making it look more attractive . . . but inside the rooms are clean and comfortable.

It is a bit different - there is no lobby or office. You pull in and park to find a sign instructing you to call a number on the phone! Then after a few minutes, the proprietor arrives to show you to your room.

We were four friends with two dogs, so we got two rooms, each with two double sized beds. The rooms had a small refrigerator, microwave and of course coffee maker. There is free wifi but we forgot to ask for the password so rather than call the fellow and disturb him, we decided we could do without it for a night.

The rooms were comfortably large with extra space. The bathroom was small but the towels were newer, fresh and clean and there was plenty of hot water. The toilet didn't run nor did the pipes rattle ;-)

The rear windows look out onto the mountains and at about 2:00 AM, the snow on top was tinged pink from the setting sun and was just beautiful.

There was one odd problem in our room. Although it was non-smoking, it smelled like smoke. We opened all the windows and sprayed some air freshener but that didn't seem to help much. Then my friend realized that there was air coming up through the floor vents, and she thought it smelled like smoke. So, since we had already taken our showers for the evening, we folded our used towels over the vents to block the air coming in. Bingo! That was the source of the smoky smell and within an hour or so the room smelled great. Very weird.

The restaurant here is no longer open. The owner of the motel owns it as well, and he told us he can no longer operate both the businesses, as he has trouble getting help. We got the impression he would sell both businesses in a minute - if he could.

The price was very fair at about $80 per room. I'm sure the other newer motel in town is probably "nicer", but for a comfortable inexpensive room I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Smoky smell from floor vents was in room second from end on left side.

Rooms were okay. Outdated but clean and a bargain compared to other motels in haines junction. Restaurant is small but has great breakfast. Huge pancakes! Literally the best fluffiest pancake I have ever had.

While driving home this was our first stop towards home. There was not many choices and so just had to pick a place and stay. This hotel was clean and the gentleman running it was friendly. We stayed and had breakfast there that morning and that was also nice. I am use to Holiday Inns and so on but this was clean and did its purpose. Would stay again. Will say the views were beautiful. I wish I had some pics but forgot to take them.

Stopped here en-route to Alaska on the Alcan Highway. Very nice motel. Rooms were clean and well kept and the view of the mountains from my window was especially nice. After several days of camping in provincial parks, the hot shower felt wonderful (plenty of hot water). The owner was very courteous and helpful. Although we weren't able to try the breakfast it must have been good because there were a lot of cars/trucks/tour buses in the parking lot in the morning.

Room Tip: They all have a mountain view in the back; the front faces the parking lot.

We stayed here on our way to Alaska and were really disappointed. We noticed a few cars/trucks outside so thought we'd stop. The rooms and restaurant were dirty, we had linens that looked they had never been cleaned, and when we explained this to the man running the place, he was really rude. We considered leaving but were too tired to do anything. Never again!!!
