“Good Food, Great Price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014 via mobile

Was recommended by a friend and am glad we came. The food was delicious! Comfort food at a great price. I had an amazing basic burger (the Pemby Meadows burger) for under $10. The Mac 'N' Cheese was made with aged cheddar & mozza...yum (this is the foundation for all other Macs!). This dish was consumed by my teen within minutes. He had the half order along with a Rescued Dog and this was more than enough food for a teen. If you are anywhere near Whistler, I would highly recommend going this restaurant! A nice change of pace from the Village.

“People are not lying when they say best burgers ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

We were recommended Mile One by friends who had raved about their burgers. They were right to rave- they are epic! Cost wise it is really affordable - around $10 for a burger on its own. The portions are perfect, the service is great - wish they had one in Whistler!

“A fresh concept, well executed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2014

We'd been going to have dinner at The Pony, but the desk clerk at our hotel suggested Mile One instead. We're glad he did!

The format is what might be termed "cafeteria hybrid": choose from the many items listed on the chalkboard (plus the specials), give your order to the person at cash, and it gets delivered to your table. We each went with one of their many different burgers, which were great. The default side order is half-salad, half-wedge fries, which I usually have to specially request at other restaurants. The selection of microbrews is fantastic (all bottles, no draft). And the apple pie was excellent!

My only minor complaints were that: (1) the deck was too crowded, but that was more to do with our provincial liquor policies than the fault of the restaurant; (2) the two staff who were on the front the night (June 28) that we were there had to work too hard; the charming woman on the desk was constantly busy, and the fellow who was doing most of the serving and bussing was literally sprinting at times (manager, how about hiring a summer student to help and give these poor souls a break!).
