This was a lovely find in a charming town. The manager was great and very knowlegable of the town and provided wonderful recommendations. The deluxe one bedroom was a suite that was warm, cozy, clean and quiet with amazing views. My boyfriend and I came to ski in Whistler which was only 32 miles away on a beautiful drive. This cute boutique hotel is also located next to some great eateries that we were very impressed with. Although the room comes with a full kitchen so you can make your own dinner.
Although this town was way too cold for Los Angeles folk, the heating and amenities kept us very warm and cozy. You can't beat the value and the service offered here! We will definitely come back!

First time go to Whistler.
Good suite for family.
2 queen size beds (one is extended from a sofa) and a big kitchen.
There is a grocery store nearby, though the price is little expensive.
Just on top of a restaurant, which, according to the manager, the best restaurant in this town.

Dear Charlotte & Family..."A good place to stay near Whistler" we couldn't agree more. We're only 20min away.2 queen beds (one is extended from a sofa) in our 1 bed Rm Suites & a big kitchen, as we can see from your 1st picture.. The 2 Bed Rm Efficiencies have another Queen Bed making them good for families. The nearby grocery store is little bit more expensive than the city but way less costly than Whistler -& open very conveniently till 9 pm. Yes, we're just on top of Mile One restaurant & which according to the manager, me is the best restaurant in town, but don't take my word for it; it's rated #1 of 20 establishments in the area by your fellow TripAdvisor users. Good picture by the way of the neighbourhood. Under the pictured Water Tower next door, in your 2nd snap shot "View from Balcony", is another good restaurant The Wood & beside it BlackBird Bakery. Across the street just out of frame is Mount Currie Coffee Company too.
Thank you for making the time to write this review & post a couple pictures for your fellow travelers.

We rented a 3-bedroom suite for three nights in Dec 2012. If you're expecting something fancy, this is not it. However, given the frontier character of the town, this hotel was a great place to stay.

The 3-bedroom suite actually has 2 bedrooms and a queen bed plus sofa bed in the living room. When the two beds are deployed, it's hard to move around. There's one bathroom. Although the hotel's web site describes these features accurately, I think I would give the hotel five stars if it was sold as a 2-bedroom. I guess this is a case of mismatch expectation.

The manager Myson was friendly and helpful. One day, my Honda Pilot 4x4 got stuck in a roadside ditch 2 miles out of town. I called Myson, and he found someone with a tow truck to get us out for a very reasonable US$80.

My favorite part of the hotel is its location. Pemberton is 25 min from Whistler and the hotel is co-located with one of the best burgers restaurants in all of Canada. This is pretty amazing since this town is at the boundary between civilization and wilderness. I would definitely stay here again when I come back.

Room Tip: Ask for the 3-bedroom with a balcony.

Dear AQ Nguyen & Family

Thanks for the kind words: “Charming hotel in a charming little town” we couldn't say it better! We appreciate you taking the time to write. Reviews are helpful to other travelers, especially when they are descriptive like yours. Thank you for accurately describing the setup of our 3 Bed Rm Efficiency Suite. We're glad you enjoyed your stay & will be back. Yes, the Hotel is "co-located" with one of the best burgers restaurants in all of Canada - Top 1 of 20 on TripAdvisor for Pemberton: Mile One Eating House.

Good Room Tip: Asking for the 3-bedroom with a balcony (with a view of Mount Currie too).

Hope to see you & the whole family soon, maybe this Summer.

PS: Please Drive that Honda Pilot 4x4 carefully, remember family is "Precious Cargo". We have Dave Banka of Pemberton Towing's number handy but hopefully won't need to call again, a least for you :) lol

just like being at home.

The manager was also helpful and friendly. I will be more than happy to come again next winter.

Dear Mr. Romy S. & Family
Our 3 Rm 2 Bed Rm Apartments are set up as 3 Bed Rm Efficiency Suites with another queen Bed & Queen Pull-out Sofa or HidAbed in the Main Rm. They’re good for families or a group of friends to share. The bath Rms have an extra set of internal doors so one party may bath, while another brushes their teeth, ea with total privacy. All our suites have full kitchens & a dining Rm table great for Christmas or just a regular family dinner.
We're glad you enjoyed cooking your own dinner ensuite, where you can talk, eat & drink just like at home.
As Manager of course I will be more than happy to welcome your whole family back again this winter & next. Thank you for mentioning how neat & clean the Suites are, House Keeping works very hard. Our guests help too. Everybody’s very good about wiping their feet & using the boot trays. I will be sure to pass on your praise to House Keeping. Also, thank you for taking the time to write out a review for your fellow travelers. On behalf of the Hotel staff I wish your whole family All the Best in the New Year! :D

Dear Debbie D. & Family
So glad you really enjoyed your quiet stay & 1st time snow shoeing trip. I`m glad too, I was able to be helpful on where to go. Our local Tourism Office is only open a few months of the year so by default, we have to provide our guests with information & free maps ourselves.

Who wouldn`t welcome your dog, lol - clean house broken pets are always welcome, especially very cute dogs like your families. Yes there are many great restaurants & cafes across the street & within walking distance of the Hotel; not to mention TripAdvisors #1 Mile One Eating House - #1 of 20 in the Area - right downstairs in our Pemberton Gateway Village Suites Hotel. We look forward to your definite return. Thanks for assisting other traveling families & travelers in general with your review :)

Only stayed for 1 night but was a very relaxing experience.
Myson the Owner was extremely helpful and a great guide to this small but beautiful town.
The views out of our suite windows and balcony are almost enough of a reason to stay at Gateway alone but the friendliness will keep you coming back.
I'm already planning my next trip back and this time I'll definitely stay for much longer than a night.

Thanks Myson

Dear Amal: We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. Too bad you could only stay 1 night. We`re flattered you`re already planning your next trip back for a for much longer stay, more than just 1 night. I`m glad I was able to be helpful guide for our small town. I try to treat the Hotel with a proprietary interest, but I`m not the owner, just the manager. The views out of the suite windows & from the balconies, of the Valley & Mountains are one of a reasons we & so many of our guests stay here.
