We chose this restaurant for lunch based on its high ratings and we were not disappointed. We were expectinga fancier place but quiteenjoyed the pubby feel to the place. We ordered the mussels, clamchowder, soup of the day and salads. Everyone was very happy with the taste of their food. The service was excellent.

Was in the area and decided to stop in for some fish n chips. The place is always clean and inviting with lots of tables to choose from. Has a nice view of the water on one side and also a heated patio where you can watch the activity of Horseshoe Bay. We have eaten in before but found the prices inside are much higher than the prices from the takeout window. Decided to be sensible as the children also wanted to play in the park, so we had the takeout fish n chips. An order of 3 prices of fish with (not many) fries was $13. Very nice and a good price. Add on a small poutine, a tiny coleslaw and some tarter sauce and the bill jumped to $26. Seemed a little steep when you compare the fish to the rest. There is the iconic Trolls Pub next door, again with its own takeout window, but I have consistently found its food to be of much lesser quality. Fish and chips must be cooked with fresh oil and Trolls seems to forget this fact. The food at Olive and Anchor is tasty and enjoyable. The service is prompt and efficient. Sometimes it is hard to get the server back as there is usually one server and the bartender. Make sure you get your order in completely and ask for everything you need while she is there. Just remember that pricing inside is different from take out. Much better to take a picnic blanket and enjoy the park in front of you if you have children. We'll be back again.

My husband and I usually go to Trolls Restaurant up the street but the last time was so overpriced and the service so bad we decided to try the Olive and Anchor up the street. We had read previous reviews about the Calamari and boy are they right, reasonably priced and great Calamari! We rounded out our meal with a Chicken Caesar Salad and we shared a Creme Brûlé which was out of this world!

The serving staff was very attentive and it was very busy. Thank you for the great meal and we will definitely be returning for more! We highly recommend eating here (they also have a great kids menu) if you are in Horseshoe Bay.

Missed our ferry. Had time to kill and needed to eat with our children. Came to O & A and tried it. Fabulous food, great service, good prices. I hope we miss the ferry again.
