Pets and I walked this a couple of times, perfect short but lovely hikes. Incredible views, pet friendly, fountains for them, rocks to sit on and reflect, (on glorious days with many others...).

We decided to visit Lighthouse Park on a recent trip to Vancouver. It was very easy to get there by bus from downtown Vancouver (bus no. 250), which drops you right at the turnoff to the park. It is then about a block walk through the neighborhood to the actual park entrace. The park offers spectacular view and trails through beautiful old growth trees. While the trails are groomed, they are a bit rugged so wear good shoes for hiking. Once you get down to the water's edge, you have incredible views of Vacouver across the Strait of Georgia. Don't miss this gem when visiting Vancouver!

Lighthouse Park is not my favorite destination. The trails are alright to explore and there are a few, but the lighthouse has a extremely limited viewing area that is fenced off. I did not find the park particularly impressive, unless you find a secluded spot on the rocks by the ocean to picnic.

Great park to see some towering trees and stretches of the rugged BC coastline. Unfortunately you can't get to the Lighthouse which is disappointing but there are nice views looking out to the islands and also downtown Vancouver. Trails are easy to moderate.

I have to admit, I'm not the lighthouse lover of the world but this was worth the visit. My first visit to this park. It was quite the fun drive to get there and when first arriving the walk from where I walked was quite fun to get to main gate. I am impressed with the way the main path was paved and clean to walk to the lighthouse. There are various paths that you can take. If you decide to bring an animal make sure that you have garbage bags and there are plenty of places to dump the poop along the main path.
The walk to the lighthouse takes about 15-20 mins and is surrounded by large 100 yrs trees and echos of animals in the distant. If your quiet enough you might be able to see some of the 54 varieties of animals and vegetation that are available in the park. Once at the end of the main trail to the lighthouse you will arrive at an old warden training camp site and then take a path to the right where you can see the lighthouse in the distant. Yep, unfortunately you cannot go right up to the light house and need to see it from afar. It is a fully automated lighthouse with no keeper, but much of the property is maintained. Good hike and would visit it again.
