I belong to a group of ladies (15 in total) who walk along the West Vancouver Seawall every Wednesday morning, rain or shine! The summer of 2013 will be long remembered for endless days or sunshine. One sees herons, cormorants, harbour seals along the way, as well the ubiquitous seagulls, and even a few bald eagles. There are a couple of community gardens as well as the beautifully maintained Seawalk Garden, all added extras to the beauty of English Bay, the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park and the Kitsilano & Point Grey areas of Vancouver.

A great place to walk (no bikes) and watch a wonderful sunset. Grab a coffee nearby and go ! There is room to park the car, and some stores where you can buy ice cream and coffee shop near the pathway. It is just a place to walk, relax and have a beautiful view.

No bikes allowed on the sea wall here. You have to bike on side streets and don't get to enjoy the view at all. What's the point?

Having lived in West Vancouver for most if my life, I have walked the Sea Walk from Ambleside to Dundarave and beyond many times. It doesn't matter if the sun doesn't shine, it is wonderful in all weather! I walk with my husband, with friends or alone. It is good exercise and is good for the soul! The view is beautiful and always interesting with small boats and big ships passing by. One can also sit on the Sea Walk and people watch!
