Was up in Canada recently, and decided on a whim to go to "The Keg" for lunch as I was in the mood for a steak. I didnt think anything of it, but when we showed up, lunch was being served for only a short duration during the month of December (versus what their regular business hours were). However, the dinner menu was still available at 2pm in the afternoon, so we went with that.
Both steaks (I had the NY, the wife the Filet Mignon) were cooked PERFECTLY and were easy to cut, flavorful and an absolute delight. Twice cooked baked potatoes were a tad cold in the middle, and could've used about 3 more minutes worth of cooking, but the bread more than made up for it (hottest bread I have ever had, but very tasty nevertheless). Service was solid and atmosphere was quiet and subdued (versus regular dinner services; especially on a Friday or a Saturday). Was not a disappointment in the least.
