Nicely varied menu, with an obvious level of pride and care put into what leaves the kitchen. The seafood chowder was terrific, and my wife called the baby spinach salad the best salad she's ever had.

We stopped here on our way back to Saint John after a weekend in Halifax, after reading in the local newspaper that there was new management and some upgrades. We had been there a few years ago, and to tell the truth we did not notice anything had changed- for the better. The staff took forever to get around to even noticing us, and the place was not clean. Food reminded me of pre-packaged frozen stuff that was heated up, veg and potato were obviously cooked earlier in the day and re-heated. I felt like going into the kitchen and getting my own supper, it was that bad! They should have paid us to spend time there. I diplomatically advised the owner at reception of some improvements that needed to be made, but that fell on deaf ears! Beware and do not waste your time here!

Nice rustic log building with a stone fireplace but it sadly has a run down diner feel. Food and service is average. Tables and chairs feel like they may collapse if you lean sideways. This restaurant has no theme or focus that I can see. Has potential but it's going to take some work....

the quantity of food you get is enormous,,,one order of large fish and chips is quite literally enough to feed three people and then some lol,, i asked for very few fries and got an enormous amount of them,,the wait staff are great,,very friendly ,,only drawback is their disgusting turkey gravy,,full of sage and extremely thick,,and they dont have any other kind,,just that awful turkey
