We spent our anniversary at the Domain of Killien and were certainly not disappointed! The lodge was comfortable and welcoming, the staff were great and the food was wonderful. My husband has a dietary restriction and staff were great about making sure there was food he could eat that was of the same level as everything else on the menu. Breakfast was also a nice spread - a good start to the day if you plan to spend it outside on the trails.

Lots of nicely groomed trails with lovely scenery and a good selection of gear available for guests to use. We stayed in the main lodge and our room was warm and welcoming - I haven't slept that well away from home in a long time. Despite the fact that there were quite a few guests when we were there, there was always a sense of privacy. You enver felt crowded of had to wait in line.

The fireplace in the main lounge just invites you to curl up with a book and relax...we'd definitely go back!

Room Tip: If you stay in the cabins you'll need to walk outside to the dining room for dinner, so I'd...

We just returned from a very relaxing and interesting wine-tasting weekend at the Domain of Killien. We actually went for the cross-country skiing and relaxation and just happened to pick one of their wine-tasting weekends. We learned a lot about French wines and the food accompanying the wines was excellent. Four course meal on Friday night and a five course meal on Saturday night served with excellent wines over 3 hours was an enjoyable way to spend the evenings. Some challenging cross-country skiing during the day was invigorating! The weather was awesome considering what we've had this winter up until now. The cabins with their wood burning stoves were inviting and cozy. It was a very worthwhile weekend and we will definitely do it again.

We spent last weekend at Domain of Killien and it was our second stay there. It was as good as the first 4 and a half years ago - absolutely perfect. The weather was cold so our stay in the cabin with wood burning stove was perfect for hunkering down and relaxing with the sound of a crackling fire in the background. The staff is so friendly and very accomodating. Our cabin was perfectly prepared for us upon our arrival, dinners and breakfasts (which were included) were delicious, the grounds are gorgeous and the scenery is beautiful. We'll be back again.

Room Tip: Go for any of the lakefront cabins. You won't regret it.

We have been at the Domain of Killien on three different occasions, each time for 3 days. We appreciate the comfort and privacy afforded by the cabins. It is a beautiful rustic site, an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature.....canoeing/sailing in summer and xc skiing in winter on well-groomed trails of all levels of challenge.

Room Tip: We prefer staying in a cabin

We were looking for a low key three day break where we could xc ski a bit and try snow shoeing. Domain of Killien gave us just that. Besides the comfortable accommodation and very good meals, we savoured the peace and quiet at our own unhurried pace. The rest of the guests were respectful of the atmosphere the lodge has established. We're looking forward to enjoying a return in other seasons.

Room Tip: Not sure but i think some cabins have been updated. Didn't see rooms in the lodge itself.

This was our 3rd winter visit to Domain of Killien. We love the 5000 beautiful acres of rolling hills, small lakes and valleys. The trails are well groomed and empty; you usually don't see others for hours on end. The cabins are upscale rustic and very comfortable, not luxurious. There's a fireplace instead of a TV. The lodge is cozy and guests usually gather to read or talk in the living room after dinner. Very civilized. The service is friendly and the food is very good. It's a wonderful respite from city life.
