My wife and I stayed on the 3days/2 nights package. We were met at the airport by Tar and in a matter of minutes were enjoying a welcoming fresh fruit cocktail on the terrace overlooking the organic garden. The accommodation was superb - a two room suite with international television channels, wi-fi and even a wireless radio by the bed for catching up with the world news (if so desired). Tar, Nit and Or were marvellous hosts .
Sitting on the terrace with a Singha beer in hand and watching the sun set over the paddy fields was a great prelude to two excellent dinners with mainly organic produce and fresh fish from their own source. Fragrant, flavoursome Thai food with a wide range of taste sensations. I took advantage of the cooking lesson on the second night and have finally learnt to master lemongrass - as the ad for Marmite used to say "too much spoils the flavour"!
On Day One Tar took us for a tour of Sukhotail Historical Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. It was awe inspiring. We rounded it off with lunch at a local noodle bar where we sat with what seemed to be the entire village police force and enjoyed the best 'pad thai' ever. The next day we visited an orchid nursery, and gold workshop . Fascinating. Then it was time for another fabulous lunch with a 'pad thai omelette'.
All this for only 3,000 Baht ($96) plus the modest cost for a few beers and very drinkable wine with dinner.
A friend recommended the guest house, so we were very fortunate. We feel that we should pass on our good fortune!
