This wonderful B&B is located in a quiet, small town in Uscio near Recco. From Recco you can take train and do nice day trips near by cities and beach (Portofino). The owner went out of her way to make you feel at home. So if you're passing through on your way to another destination or looking for a weekend getaway, this is one to put on your list. Sonia was a helpful host. She can tell all things: where to eat and what to see. Then there is her garden: you can sit there and have your coffee, read or just take sun and the view is amazing...all the mountains..Fabulous! I did love to meet all the backpackers in there and talk people from all over the world.

There is a lovely B&B in Uscio which is runned by the most friendly Italian lady. You will feel yourself welcome immediatly. The place is clean and beautiful.

B&B Rifugio Uscio is situated greatly for all. There is very good bus connections to Sori, Rocco, Camogli, S.Margherita and Rapallo. You can see Italian citylife, enjoy the beach and the views and visit Portofino park and castle.

Remember to take with you happy face and bikinis!

Room Tip: Just visit the place!

Spent two nights in rifugio uscio with my friend. The owner is very friendly and gives good tips for example as to where the best beaches are. There's free wi-fi and a printer is available. The place is very peaceful and clean and the view from the garden is breathtaking. Owner Sonia's mother Adriana prepared us delicious italian dinner. Portofino park is near and easily accessible by car or bus. Near the rifugio is a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Recco where you can change buses for example to camogli, there's a nice beach, or to s.margherita ligure from where you can take a boat to portofino.

Rifugio Uscio is amazing! I decided to book a last minute trip to do some hiking along the coast after visiting Milano, and I could not be more pleased with my decision. Sonia, the owner, was extremely helpful upon my arrival; she was eager to give me tips, recommendations and directions on how to trek through the hills and visit each of the great locations this region of Liguria has to offer. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen area is spacious and convenient, and the garden/lawn is relaxing with an amazing view looking out over the green slopes fading away into the sea. The people of Uscio are friendly and welcoming. I cannot praise this place enough. Sonia is the best host I have had during all of my European travels. STAY HERE!! You won't regret it.

This is a nice lovely escape from the big cities, being in a nice Italian athmosphere. It has a great view over the mountains and you can visit some nice beaches too. The area is amazing. I visited Camogli and Cinque Terre from here. The owner, Sonia, is a nice and friendly Italian lady who can also cook you typical Italian dishes. The garden is a place I loved to sit and read. I found my stay very pleasant.

We were planing a holiday away from big cities, and were drawn to the Liguria area. Then we were lucky enough to meet the charming Sonia when she was on a visit to Cape Town. What a find her Rifugio Uscio is! High up in the mountains, the pink house lies above the church in Uscio, with amazing views. We had a double room with our own shower; and lying in bed we looked out on forested hills, the cool May breeze keeping us cool. Perfect! Best of all was Sonia's hospitality. Warm, outgoing and generous, she introduced me to Italy and its fantastic food, showing us where to find the best coffee, pastries - and not to be missed, focaccio formaggio, a speciality of the region, a bread with a soft white cheese, served warm. We stayed here for eight days, using Rifugio Uscio as a base to explore the coastal villages of this beautiful area, mostly by foot. For trekking (hiking) enthusiasts this is a good place to stay at, with three national parks nearby. Highly recommended.

I went to Rifugio Uscio in June and had a really great time diving with manta sub in Recco and swimming with a lot of fish. I really enjoyed my time at Rifugio and the breakfast was delicious with fresh foccacia and local cheese!! It was a very clean and a safe place and it was a very good price. Sonia, the owner, who speaks very good English was very hospitable and friendly.
