Exquisite restaurant, so professionally run, with consistently delicious food. We frequent this restaurant annually when visiting Italy. What's amazing is each time my husband phones to make a reservation the proprietor remembers his name!!! Not only is the service food and wine wonderful, but it's setting within this beautiful historic building It's defiantly worth a visit. In the summer the tables are set up outside in the courtyard, it's a magical setting and very romantic when the sun sets. There is an excellent wine list, which has a very interesting champagne & sparkling selection. Some of the plates we had as starters were pesce crudo. Which is a plate of the freshest beautifully presented raw fish. The other starters were a tempura of prawns with mixed fish, and a tasty little vegetable tart with a little quails egg on top. The main courses, one of us had the Osso Bucco, served with a twist. Normally it would be slow cooked on most menus, but it was off the bone and made as a tartar, with the marrow bone presented alongside. The freshness of this meat was terrific. Some others had the Pesce Fritte, this was really good, Huge prawns and crayfish etc. Another main course was piece of seabass surrounded with little dots of an amazing puttanesca sauce. Oh I forgot to mention in between courses they also bring you the most delightful little pots of pre starters and pre deserts. The deserts and sorbet rounded off the meal perfectly. They had gluten free bread, and adjusted items on the menu once they found out I was gluten free. The owners are a really lovely couple and have a very professional team of staff. It certainly is one of my top favourite restaurants in this area. You defiantly need to book.
