“So so for me.”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Food was quite good, I understand this is a family restaurant & has a good reputation for food and service, however the young girls serving really need to do better so as to not tarnish this local goodwill. Plenty of blank stares & short attitude exchanges left me thinking ok I guess this is the way it is on the Gold Coast & Oz in general.....we visiting from Hong Kong. Know the menu at least & perhaps even pretend "the customer is always right" I found great service on the seafront. Left underwhelmed.

“More than Malaysian.”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

This small restaurant serves a large variety of Asian cousin. Les, the owner and chef produces an extensive variety of Asian dishes. Les's menu has extensive variety and he prepares all the meals.

“Consistently good!”
Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

My wife & I liked this homely restaurant so much when dined here the first time, we invited our whole family back for a Father's Day dinner. We weren't disappointed. Once again, the meals were delicious and hearty...with no pre-heating and only fresh ingredients used. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. And the atmosphere cosy. It's nothing fancy, but it ticks all the boxes for a great local family restaurant. We love this place and will be recommending it to all our friends.

“Hidden Treasure - Locals love this place.”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Excellant food and great service, this is true Malaysian cuisine at its finest, not an extensive menu, but always check the specials board, we had Snapper Curry the other night, and I was tempted to go back the following night for another. Its BYO so take a wine worthy of fine food, you wont be disappointed, Les is a great chef and nothing is to much trouble for "Ruth" not her real name.

“Friendly service and excellent food”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Very good food, quick service, cozy atmosphere, excellent value for money. Authentic Malaysian cuisine, popular with locals, which is a great credit to this lovely family restaurant. We usually grab a bottle of wine from the bottle store next door as it's BYO. I find the place down to earth and relaxing.

Love garlic crepes ("roaties") for starters, Malibu prawns and devil lamb, cumin potatoes and coconut rice for sides. You can order spicy food to your liking: mild, medium or strong. Good size portions.
