I rate the Summit House very high for location and view - the most amazing in the entire state. Our brunch experience was nothing to get excited about though. The check in for our reservation was a bit stressed. People were mobbing the tiny foyer trying to get a table and the poor hostess was trying to turn people away. We heard many phone conversations with the staff at the base of the mountain about the fact that they were running out of food so not to send any more diners up the gondola. The selection of food was fine, but it just wasn't kept warm enough to be enjoyable. The waffles were the most dried out I have ever eaten. The staff was trying hard though, and it was still a pleasant experience due to the incredible location. I would love to come try dinner here since I'm sure it would be less hectic than the brunch.
