“A Pocket of Perfect in West Wales”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Just returned from a mini-break to West Wales and haven't even waited until the next day to write this review. My partner and I are young professionals who were looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a few nights.
Immediately, we were struck by how picturesque the area is. The B&B is situated on a little hill, tucked away from any traffic with a fantastic view!
Katie and Andy were lovely hosts, going out their way to help us settle in -whether this meant taking us to see the donkeys, showing us the facilities, recommending local attractions, showing us how to use the hot tubs or putting chocolate, champagne and Welsh cakes in our room!!
We stayed in the 'Pink Room' with quirky decor and a modern bathroom -really lovely.
We will be back! Our only regret is that we completely forgot to leave our tip!!
Thank you for a lovely few days!
Emma and Evan

Just returned from a 6 day break in The Stables at Happy Donkey Hill. We were greeted on arrival by Katie who showed us around and explained how to use the hot tub. There was everything we needed in the cottage including a good supply of wood for the wood burner.
The location is very isolated and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The view from the hot tub is over valleys and is not overlooked. It is worth taking some crocs or sandals to walk there from the cottage (although they did have some spare if we forgot).
The cottage was spacious and modern with TV, DVD player, CD player downstairs and CD player upstairs under a wall mounted fire. The bedroom also has a massive Maple bath separate from the en-suite bathroom.
Katie and Andy are ideal hosts. They are just a phone call away (phone provided in cottage). Happy to assist you and show you around their farm with donkeys, goats and cats or leave you to your own devices.
The cottage is ideal for a romantic break or a place to unwind.
I can't rate the place highly enough. We would highly recommend.

Have just come home from 6 days of luxury accommodation, fantastic hosts and a truly amazing place! We stayed in the Stables - exceptionally high standard of accommodation, fully equipped and set in the most idyllic of locations. Hosts Andy and Katie - well just fab along with their host of cats, dogs, goats and their truly adorable herd of donkeys and welsh pony! Loved them! Hot tubs added another layer of luxury especially after long days out walking and exploring. If you are looking for a break away from it all, for peace and tranquility with guaranteed luxury this is the place for you!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Stables - superb but we were also lucky enough to have a tour of the other accommod...

Trying to find an appropriate hotel/B&B when you have a 6 month old puppy and a severe nut allergy is as difficult as it sounds!
We were looking for a place to stay whilst completing the Teifi Tour and had checked out the website in advance. We spoke with Katie on the phone who assured us my allergy and puppy could be catered for, a promise she kept.
We arrived to a beautiful, cosy room and our labrador was welcome the entire time! We even had time to hit the hot tub, with no time limit we spent around an hour in there, returning us to a nice temperature after a day's paddling.
Katie & family (including dogs and a parrot with a geordie accent (!) were fantastic hosts and we would definitely recommend a stay here and would stay again!

Stayed here from the 6th August to the 9th August in the Stables. We were welcomed by the owner and showed where we were staying. Wow!! What a beautiful setting - we could not have asked for anything more. Katie and Andrew were really helpful as this was our first visit to this part of Wales and unsure of the surroundings. Would recommend a visit to anyone it is definitely worth it. Thank you guys - Stuart and Amy Smith and Mush the dog

My biggest regret on staying here was that I was only staying one night. I had already made plans to move on to another part of Wales and rang at pretty short notice. Fortunately KT managed to fit me and my partner in. Katie and Andrew are really friendly and the home-baked Welsh cakes as we arrived was a delightful little unexpected bonus.

The breakfast is the best I have ever had in any B&B - simple as that!!

Thanks guys me and Jill will be back :-)
