This review is not so much about the temples (which do look impressive from a distance) but includes the town, sea front and general area. We stopped here for a break en route driving south and I just have to say that I have rarely come across such an untidy, unkept, unloved area such as this. There are several minor building projects underway that clearly will never reach completion ... the area exudes an atmosphere of neglect and a couldn't care less attitude. Apart from a ruined Bay Area (that still retained some natural beauty) there was ... nothing!! I mean ... NOTHING!!
Interestingly on heading south on the dual carriageway we encountered a new Tesco Lotus shopping area. Roads, pavements, foliage, flowers and covered parking all nicely completed. Probably built start to finish within 12 months. As for the town ... a hundred sleepy years won't make any difference.
Btw, you can find good stuff to eat in Tesco at MK.
