This is a very nice, clean beach. There is a large selection of food vendors across the street and plenty of showers and rest rooms. Chair rental is only 10 Baht. You have to sign it at the entrance to the Royal Thai Air Force Base, but the protocol used by the military police is not burdensome to tourists. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite beaches in Thailand, very clean and well-run by the military. They only charge 10 baht for a chair and all prices are regulated, there is no price gouging that I know of. It's mostly Thai with some foreigners, the water is clean and it's mostly calm, though I've seen it get a bit whipped up too!

This beach was very child friendly with very little waves and a gradual slope into the water. We did visit the monkeys prior to stopping at the beach and lived to regret it. When you buy a bag of food from the vendor, the monkeys have come to know well what is coming. They repeatedly came and yanked the entire bag away from my husband and children. So we kept buying more. When we resisted the larger monkey's attempts to steal the whole stash my husband was clawed a bit (until he bled) on the back of his neck and upper back. We ended up doing some research and found this warranted a trip to the physician for the rabies series of vaccines. BEWARE of aggressive monkeys! Enjoy the beach! This beach never had sea lice or jelly fish even when we had seen them at other local beaches the same day. The cove here gives great protection. There were banana boat rides on the weekends too and the driver was willing to give our young children a slower trip with gentle tip overs into only the more shallow areas. We love this beach!

A very typical Thai beachfront with rows of foodstalls. The place itself is nothing spectacular but among the stalls, there is very good fried ice cream and coffee.

First went here 2 years ago and knew we had to come back. Clean beach and plenty of eating options. Plenty of stalls and several toilet and shower blocks you can use for a fee. There's a feeding farm (20 baht for feed) and my boys loved feeding deer, goats, (don't feed the horned goats) and ostriches. Also a horse riding ring (120B for 15 minutes), shooting and ATV driving available. You must visit the Dusky Lemurs ( follow signs to Royal Residence and leave passport at check point). 10 baht buys you fruit to feed them - they rotate the fruit so they get a balanced diet.
