bella coola is a remote town in the middle of a gorgeous valley. if you like the quiet outdoors, don't miss it.
visit the museum in bella coola and the heritage house in hagensborg. do not miss out on the bear tours on the river (although expensive) spectacular. go for a hike in tweedsmuir park. it is a one and a half hour drive to the start of the trail but well worth it.

“check it out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

it's a little difficult to find information when you arrive in town. there's no one lined up to sell you tours etc...
Check out the Petroglyph Gallery. The owner Mark is very knowledgeable about the Nuxalk Nation and will help you find guide and visit some artists. The gallery is great and has art for all price ranges as well as tshirts and fleece.
The Tallho Cannery is well worth the trip.
The Eagles Lodge is great.

“A place I dream of living.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

Quiet quaint villages, with sweet little farms nestled into a river valley between stuning snow capped mountians. lovely farm houses and cottages. great hiking trails, and unpretentious but adeqate grocery and services. small but decent selection of organic and gluten free options in the co-op.
