Room was very comfortable with a super king size bed!! Marion & Michael also provided us a evening meal, as most places to eat in Clearwater were not open, the meal along with the breakfast was very nice, if ever returning to this area we would certainly return.

Room Tip: King size bed very comfortable

We arrived for two nights stay, previously being at clearwater painted turtle campsite. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean> Marion and Michael provided everything we needed, we sat out on the terrace watching the humming birds feeding on the nectar in the evening, we did miss conversation with other guest as they were all from Germany and all sat talking with each other but they were friendly enough and not everybody wants to chat on their holidays. We went for a walk around the creek and Marion was keen to tell us information if we wanted to explore the area. We ventured further into the park area and took some amazing photos. We did miss the lake though and went back there on the second day to get in another swim!

The lodge is located relatively close to Wells Gray PP and is quite new. The building as well as the rooms are good as new. The room is very spacious and looks very nice. There however is little privacy when you want to leave the curtains open or sit on the terras.

There are a lot of houserules that are unconventional and seem to be for the comfort of the owners and not the guests. If you want to make your own plans and keep your own scedule, Marion will be sure to let you know how she feels about it. Which in my opinion isn't very professional.

We have mixed feelings about this place. It looks great, the location is wonderful and the room is nice and clean. But we just didn't feel welcome, which was mostly because of Marion (the lady of the house). I think our biggest faillure to her was that we are not Germans. It was very clear to us that the German customers were treated in a different way (more kindly and more sincere).

It is a great place to stay, as long as your German. Otherwise, I recommend you find somewhere else to stay.

We were four people making a round trip trough the Western part of Canada in July 2013. We spent two nights in the B&B Moul Creek Lodge near Clearwater, BC

Location / Accessibilty
The Moul Creek Lodge is located 20 kilometers out of the small town of Clearwater, with immediate access to the access road to Clearwater Lake. By doing so, the lodge is close to all places of interest of Wells Gray National Park.

Welcome / First Impression
The owners Marion and Michael provided a warm welcome to us. We booked two rooms, the Raft Room and the Garnet Room. Marion showed us both rooms and explained the facilities and other helpful things.
The lodge is built of heavy, properly jointed wooden thick boards which do not rank behind a house of solid construction. The rooms are huge and equipped with modern furniture, consisting of a spacious main room and a bathroom with a small shower, lavatory and toilet. The room is electrically air conditioned and heated (important for any stay at low temperatures), the temperature setting can be adjusted using thermostat control devices.
There are enough sockets for powering up your small electrical equipment. A small refrigerator located in a small cabinet can take your food. A big wardrobe is missing, only some hanger beside the refrigerator can be used as well as some drawers underneath the refrigerator, to store your clothing.
Adjacent to the entrance door you find a small garderobe and a pad for placing dirty or wet shoes and boots. A couch with a table offers you relaxing moments, whereas a bureau with chair is available for any paper work or notebook activities. Finally, the big King Size bed is equipped with excellent, tight spring-loaded mattresses, which made us feel like home as far as the sleeping comfort is concerned. We missed neither pillows nor blankets required during cold nights.
The towels in the bathroom are hanging on a fancy wooden frame situated aside the big lavatory. Same as the living room, the bathroom is equipped with an electrical floor-based heating.
Last but not least, a roofed porch with table and two chairs for each room completes the room.

Breakfast
Marion und Michael provided an individual breakfast for us each day by varying the preparation of eggs as well as the selection of cheese and sausages. We found toast, cheese and sausage, but you can also have Yogurt and cereals. Offered drinks are orange juice, coffee or tea.

Dinner as an option
A unique feature may be the opportunity to get a home-made dinner on request. As it takes some effort to get all fresh ingredients for the dinner, the guests must ask for such a dinner 24 hours in advance. The dinner includes three courses – appetizer, main dish and dessert. As main dish, our hosts offered either salmon or steaks for all – the limitation is for logistical reasons only.
We decided to have steaks. As an appetizer we got a mixed salad with home-made dressing, hot potatoes with sour cream and the mentioned AAA steaks. The meat is excellent and expertly prepared by Michael. This was nearly topped by the dessert: Michael served a self-made sundae with individually prepared icecream. Gold medal for the sundae!
We had bottled, locally brewed beer with our dinner, but you can also get white or red wine.

Internet
An internet access is available, but the connection is established by Satellite which makes is very expensive for our hosts. As we have last but not least chosen the lodge for its calm location, we did not use the internet during our two-days stay.

Conclusion
Right from the beginning, our hosts Marion and Michael made us feel staying with friends. We experienced our hosts being courteous, without being intrusive, respecting the privacy of their guests at any time. We were very grateful for all helpful hints concerning our stay in the Moul Creek Lodge.

In a word, perfect hosts for a relaxing stay in Wells Gray Park. We will return with pleasure!

The breakfast is delicious and they do superb steaks on the BBQ!!!
The hosts are very friendly and they really make you feel at home. We loved our stay and we would highly recommend this place to anyone, who likes to be outdoors, away from the crowds, but with the comfort that makes a stay complete.
Marion and Michael, thank you for entertaining us, the ladies from the Netherlands.
