A small but lovingly decorated Thai restaurant.
I did not have a reservation but there were plenty of seats available that evening, although I was informed that this was the exception; reservations are usually required as the seats sell our fast.
I found the owner a bit challenging; which I first attributed to me perhaps conveying negative energy. Then I watched as others cringed; especially the table that asked when they would be getting their food, only to be told that "this is not a fast food restaurant, it is a slow food restaurant". Factually absolutely correct but a bit blunt for the hospitality industry ;)
The food was awesome … absolutely awesome and I even ordered a couple of take out orders for my partner as well as co-worker at the office. At the time of my visit, no alcoholic beverages were available but I was served a lovely tea.
Payment options were limited in that I was not able to pay by direct debit but the business is likely working through start-up challenges.
Upon parting, the owner and I did a have a constructive conversation and I am convinced that his intentions are good. I am actually looking forward to going back, enjoying some more of their excellent cuisine, as well as performing my part to create a stellar atmosphere.
