It was interesting traveling through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia because we had almost determined that no one ate out! When we arrived at The Stuart House Bed and Breakfast by the bay we asked for suggestions and this restaurant was our destination. Upon crossing over the small bridge where "jumpers / swimmers" were gathering we quickly noticed more vehicles that we had seen at any other dining place during our day's travel. We quickly hurried in (we knew that they closed at 9 pm and that the grill turns off fifteen minutes early) to find a large table to accommodate our group among all the people that were already there.
The menu board listed about seven different desserts which had us questioning if we should eat dessert first, THEN see if we had room for our meal. Several different items where ordered by our party and NO ONE was disappointed. I had the pan fried fish with mashed potatoes and my plate arrived looking like a photo shoot for Southern Living Magazine AND it lived up to its appearance! Even though I had plenty of food and was satisfied I felt like I needed to get one of the desserts (for review purposes of course) and the waitress recommended The Apple Crisp. She ended up getting a hug for that!
After dinner we visited with the owner and some employees along with some other customers who were staying at nearby cottages. All portions were ample while those who ordered the homemade fries having many of them left due to the LARGE portions.
