The managers need to bring the standard up - the atmosphere is cute, and the menu is ok - but the food is always lack luster. I have eaten here on a number of occasions, and it's always the same, flavorless, not hot enough, and slow service. Bella's and Duncan's should have a more competivive sprit and bring the quality of offerings up - but instead they both are OK.. and need to up the standard!

We arrived in Amherst exhausted, thristy, and hungry looking for a place to eat. The Nova Scotia Welcome Center provided a list of options and the first one was so small our group of seven could not fit in it. We then looked for Bella's and liked the appearance so we parked and went in. We were warmly greeted and quickly provided glasses of water and plenty of refills (having just hiked three trails in Fundy National Park). Our group ordered six different sandwiches or selections and everyone was satisfied. I ordered the Farmer's Sandwich which came with fresh cucumber and two whole sliced boiled eggs resting on the sandwiches meat and cheese - WONDERFUL!

The staff and fellow patrons were ALL very friendly and helpful! Check them out the next time you are in Amherst!

We stopped here for lunch on a recent trip to Nova Scotia. I had seafood chowder and my husband had mushroom and onion soup and we were both delighted with our choices. The chowder was full of seafood and both soups, which were definitely homemade, came with a large homemade roll. The price was very reasonable, the service was prompt and our server was very friendly. We would definitely go back there the next time we're in Amherst.
