This was our second stay at the Regent, and this time was as enjoyable as the first. The house is a grand old home not far from the centre of the old town - you can easily walk to nice restaurants and shopping. There are a number of historic properties within a few minutes, and here and there throughout the town one comes across trees which have been carved into figures. Jim, the host, is very genial, and it is obvious he is intent on making your stay at the B&B and in town as pleasant as possible. He is a font of good advice on where to go. The rooms are well appointed, very clean, and quite comfortable. We enjoyed the generous breakfasts in the dining room; like throughout the house, the dining room has beautiful woodwork and many interesting art works from Jim and Gwen's time up North.More
