On our trip out east, we decided to try the food at Dixie Lee since we saw it everywhere and it was always busy. They serve two things, chicken with fries and fish with fries. Apparently, though I was in an Atlantic province, fish was not the way to go.
There was far more greasy batter than fish, and before we left the restaurant, I could feel myself sweating out the oil. I swear that KFC would have been like health food next to what I ate, and I only eat that once a year. My daughter's chicken was tastier, and less greasy, but I could never bring myself to go back again.
The one redeeming point was that we had great service. Whether that is normal or not, I can't say...it could be because the lady at the counter was getting such a kick out of people from 'out west' looking so confused in front of her.
