We paid $85.50 AAA rate for a Queen room. Didn't expect all the kitchen items, like a full-size refrigerator. Flat-screen TV. Sofa. The water pressure in the shower is strong. We heard the plumbling in another room. Good manager who gave me restaurant advice. There was no highway noise. Outdoor pool was heated.

We stayed at the Skimmerhorn Inn in August 2012. From the outside it looks like thousands of other small town motels, but after checking in at what we thought was a fair $90 per night, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was immaculate, appeared to be newly renovated, and had a much appreciated fridge and microwave as well as the standard coffeemaker. The grassy area out back with the horseshoe pitch, dog run and barbeque shelter were an additional unexpected bonus. Add to that the friendly folks who run the place, and you have a very pleasant stay in Creston.

We came to the inn at almost 1am, they are open 24hours but when we got there the pwners were clearly sleeping. The woman came to help us and was a real sweetheart. She gave us a deal because it was so late, which she didn't have to!! We got into our room and we were very happy. We checked for bed bugs and the room was very clean. Thank you for such a great night! We slept like the dead!

We stayed here for a hockey tournament and found the rooms updated, clean and the motel quiet. A flat screen tv is on the wall. The king bed was comfortable and the updated washroom was excellent. As already mentioned, there is a lot of water pressure in the shower which I really liked. There was plenty of room for clothing etc. There was a fold out couch which we did not use. As well, they have an outdoor pool that was not used do to the season. Overall a very good motel and the best I have stayed in while visiting Creston.

Room Tip: They have two bedroom suites for a fair price if you need the room.

We stayed here for one night in Dec 2011. It was clean, newly renovated, the person at the front desk was pleasant and friendly. We got a room with a new king bed, and a wall mounted tv above the bed. The shower pressure was a little too strong, but nice and high (my husband is very tall) There were wall mounted lamps on both sides of the bed (handy for reading). All in all a great experience, which I grew to appreciate even more after our next night at the Fernie Travelodge :-(

We stayed here in August. The rooms were adequate but somewhat worn. There was a microwave and fridge which were a nice bonus. It was full every night we stayed there. No problems and it was quiet. I was surprised in the morning when I saw the motorbikes in the parking lot. They were very quiet coming in as we did not hear them. The staff was friendly and helpful.
