The innkeeper at Pheasant's Run B&B recommended the Real Food Café. It took some doing to find it, even though Creston is not that large a city. The clam chowder was one of the best we have ever had and the mussels in tomato broth were also very good. The desserts - yummy too. Just the right portion too. Definitely a place not to be missed.

We are visiting an old friend in Creston. I said I would like to treat for supper, where shall we go? She said, Real Food! I said yes real food. She said, no we will go the Real Food, it is a really good local place. Well, she was right. I tried the cod burger and it was very good. We all enjoyed our well prepared meals and enjoyed the very friendly and attentive staff. 10 out of 10. I will be going back before we leave town.

We had lunch here on the first leg of a round trip, and were so impressed we timed the return trip so we could stop for dinner. The menu is short, but they have excellent gluten-free options, and the short menu allows the kitchen to concentrate on quality. High quality ingredients are prepared with skill and knowledge, then served by a friendly staff. Portions are good - neither too large nor lacking. This is well worth the slight detour off the main drag through Creston. Try a dessert - the portions are reasonable for one person, and priced accordingly.

The Creston Valley Motel recommends this restaurant to all of their guests and we add our vote as well. The setting is very professionally designed and this restaurant seems to be a favorite of the locals. We were there during the week and the tables filled up fast. I had the British style fish and chips (served in a newspaper, just like in the UK) and my wife had the clam chowder which she said was one of the best she's had.

You can't go wrong here.

This restaurant was recommended by the Creston Valley Motel and it certainly delivered. The food was great and the service the same. We ate dinner and then the next day we were still in Creston so had lunch there and again great food & service.
