“great food find in Okanagan”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

What a great littlle find this was in the dearth of "diner" type restaurants. Lots of vegetarian choices and really good food. The owners were very friendly and welcoming as were the staff. The husband and wife team (Scottish and Yorkshire respectedly) are working hard to make this a great place for locals and visitors and are really succeeding. I wish them the best of luck because they truly deserve it. We sat outside on the patio as it was a warm evening, truly relaxing. No loud music either which was a bonus.

“Surprising menu choices”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Ate lunch here based on a local's recommendation, and are glad we did. The lunch menu had sandwich and salad selections, but the platters brought out did not have that "normal" appearance. My wife and I had vegetarian dishes for a change; she had a curry mix with steamed vegetables and I had a black bean, quinoa and mushroom burger, and they were both seasoned well and tasty. The sweet tea was just as good as any local restaurants' in the deep south of the US (my benchmark). Would have tried dessert but the main course filled us up.

“Great dinner with a nice atmosphere”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

we stayed in Creston overnight and went here for a GF meal per the recommendation of the owner of the place we stayed at. The owner was our server and she was very friendly and very eager to serve us our GF meal. The meal was very good and we enjoyed our time there.

“Real home cooking at a good price!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

My girlfriend and I spent the night in Creston just so we could eat at this restaurant. My girlfriend said it was the best meal of our trip. We were both so glad we made the effort to visit this restaurant. The husband and wife team also employ very friendly staff to assist them in this very busy restaurant. It was almost full by the time we left. I had the vegetarian curry with date chutney and my girlfriend had the pork chop dinner with real applesauce. I would love to be in town for a few days just to sample some of the other items in the menu. Kudos to this adventuresome couple as they continue on the journey of providing healthy, fresh and tasty meals.

“Delightful place to eat”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We were visiting Creston, and recommended this cafe by our Bed and breakfast host. It is a delightfully unpretentious establishment, serving locally produced food, beautifully prepared. For example, we tried the local asparagus and pea with tarragon soup..... Yummy! We ate there two nights in row, and it was busy both times, a sure sign that people enjoy this place. The service was wonderfully friendly, and the prices very reasonable, and if we lived in the Creston area, we would undoubtedly become regulars there.
