The name says it all for this restaurant...The food is fresh, imaginative, tasty and affordable...Creston is a little jewel in the Kootenays and for a small town has some wonderful little restaurants...don't be shy, give it a try! The prices do not reflect the quality of the food...in that, they can satisfy any budget...my husband had a european beer for $3.50 !

“Delicious!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

We were spending a night in Creston on our way back to
Vancouver after a couple of weeks in the Rockies. We asked our motel host where to eat. Initially she suggested the local Polish place but I declined, noting that I was a vegetarian and would just as soon skip the heavy Polish food. That's when she mentioned Real Food Cafe. We were very pleasantly surprised by the fresh, homemade mains and salads. I had the house salad with homemade dressing, and it was fabulous. My husband had the fish special and was delighted by how well it was cooked. He's very particular that his fish not be overcooked. We had a half litre of wine, one appetizer and dessert as well as his main and my salad - all for less than $50 CAD. Amazing! Also, the service was friendly and excellent!

The Real Food Cafe was highly recommended by two different inn keepers so we went there. It was as good as the recommendations.

“Local fresh ingredients and great taste!”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

What makes unique this restaurant is that food ingredients and wines are sourced locally. We were truly impressed by the quality of the food... Even the "house wine" tastes much better than the average $11-13 glass of wine that I can find at any restaurant or bar in Vancouver. We round this place based on a recommendation from our B&B host, and after doing my research, definitelly believe it's a "must visit" restaurant in Creston for the quality of their food and great value.
