This was our 6th visit since 1995. Unfortunately since that time the premises and food services have gone downhill. It is under new ownership and I believe one of the owners periodically visits but the facility needs work, both physical plant and on staffing levels. We stayed the Monday and Tuesday after Easter. It was clear that the front desk, kitchen, and wait staff were understaffed and that is unfortunate as they should know better after all these years. Of course there are a few standout employees. But the situation puts a lot of pressure on the employees, who were trying their best, but with the workload mistakes were made frequently. I believe it was actually embarrassing to the employees who constantly apologized profusely for the delays, errors and poor performance. Our room was okay, television and Wifi perfect, but in the bathroom a few maintenance items await attention. The pools themselves are great, but they alone can not justify the expense of a visit. Here is a tip: if you think you may want a massage or another service from the SPA, book it early, even a month early as they are frequently booked up and do not have depth of staff or space.
