Chalet in the Rockies B&B
Reviewed July 14, 2013

My NEW wife and I recently stayed at the Chalet in the Rockies. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, as we had just gotten married the weekend prior. Anita and Randy were very hospitable and extremely friendly and helpful with things to do. The breakfasts were to die for and had you begging for more each and every morning. The cleanliness was over-the-top :) as you had to look hard to find a speck of dust/dirt anywhere...the only negative (if you would call it) was the weather was extremely humid during our stay up to 38 degrees and the room was stifling at times and would have loved the air conditioning to be about 3 or 4 degrees cooler as the room tended to be warmer than the rest of the house. But it did quickly cool down at night. Thanks again Anita and Randy, we will miss you and look forward to coming for a revisit on our anniversary and recapture the magic at the Chalet in the Rockies. Allan and Cindy

Thanks for staying with us, and thank you for the feed-back. We are planning an overhaul on the central air conditioning. It works, but could use a tweak in this room.

The suite downstairs is very private and roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make lunch and dinner, except of course the food. The breakfasts were truly delicious. Randy and Anita made us vegetarian food on request. We could have stayed at a hotel, but this was so much better!

We had the most delightful stay with the owners,Randy and Anita over the long weekend in August. We treated ourselves to the larger Honeymoon Suite which had luxurious king size bed, and our own private balcony with access to the wooded backyard and forest. Our hosts were the very best, attending to every whim we might have. The breakfasts!!! Another story... I never could finish my breakfasts, they were so well planned and nutritional. Our favorite was the fritatos made with fresh vegetables from the garden. Our hosts went the extra mile and accommodated an extra family member who unexpectedly joined us for one night. They found space in their beautiful home which was already full with guests. Knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, don't hesitate to stay at this gem in the Rockies! Prairie Girls give Chalet in the Rockies 10 out 10 all the way... We'll be back, for another relaxing weekend. Cheers

I've stayed at Randy and Anita's b and b, a couple times over the past year, and have enjoyed it very much.
It's clean, quite and set in a very nice area.
Randy and Anita were friendly and accommodating and were there for whatever i needed.
It was a great home away from home for me, and I will stay there again.

We got in very late...after 9:00 p.m. but were pleasantly greeted by Randy & Anita, and shown our room, which was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Randy & Anita were very good hosts, and had lots of helpful information. There was not alot to do in the area, and had trouble finding a restaurant open after 8:00 p.m., but Randy helped greatly in giving us directions to a local sportsbar, called HooDoo's a couple miles away. The prices were high, but the food was excellent.

Thank-you for the kind words. We do our best to please. There is actually a lot to do in the area, just not late at night. If you ever decide to return to our area, I would be happy to take you hiking. Thank you for your review, and thank you for being our guest.

Just as if we were just arriving home. Randy and Anita are great hosts and full of local information. We would go back just to visit with Randy and Anita. Each bedroom has its own ensuite. The beds are very comfortable. The home and all the rooms are exceptionally clean. The breakfasts are filling and healthy with a touch of flare. Sitting by the fire pit or on the veranda on the warm summer evenings is soooo relaxing. Just a beautiful home. Spoil yourself with a stay a the Chalet in the Rockies. The only downside is you will have to go home at some point and let someone else have your room.
