“Not what I expected in Field”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

This place was a real surprise. First of all, the decor is interesting - papier mache flying pigs hanging from the rafters! The menu isn't large but the food was great. The best part of this mean was our waitress, a lovely young woman from Montreal. She was so friendly and enthusiastic. We will definitely make the trip to this restaurant again sometime.

“Pricey but tasty”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

We were lucky to have an outdoor seat and enjoy the beautiful July evening.
The service was good as was the food. It was pricey but worth it.
The menu is fairly small but has something for almost every palate. I also had dessert--the brownie sundae is definitely worth it.
Despite the cost, I would definitely eat there again.

“Superb food in a tiny town”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Field is a tiny township just off the very busy main trans Canada highway near Lake Louise. Passing travellers should not miss the opportunity of tasting the superb food that is served at the quirky Truffle Pigs Bistro. My mushroom tortellini dish was served in a piquant green pepper sauce which I was able to completely clean up with a crisp ciabatta roll. The large tortellini were cooked to perfection and the mushroom filling very tasty. The dessert menu was appealing and I tried the pie of the day - an intriguing combination of rhubarb and mango, which worked very well. A reasonable wine menu, including by the glass.

“Lovely breakfast in a quirky charming setting”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We stopped at this restaurant for an early breakfast as we were travelling home. Though it was on the expensive side for a breakfast, it was well worth it. From the free range eggs to the seasoned potato cakes and bangers, the quality and freshness were excellent. We would stop again.
